Hi, we’re Abbie and Andy!

We’re looking for rewarding, exciting and insightful WorkAway experiences.

We met while working at a children’s summer camp in Canada. Since then we have travelled home to England to spend some time with our families. We spent the Summer of 2023 working at a Pizzeria on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. We're currently living in England, working to save money for our next adventure = Canada in June 2024!

We consider ourselves hard-working, thoughtful and easygoing. We aim to make strong connections through meaningful conversations and always try to see the best in every situation. We aim to laugh often and always remain positive!

Outside of work, we like to stay active. We love running and Andy completed a challenge of running 10K Every Day in May 2023 to raise money for mental health charities and is currently thinking of his next challenge for charity! We enjoy staying fit and active and are keen sports players.

Between us, we have a wide variety of work experience. Abbie has a range of experience in education, from teaching online during the pandemic to teaching in a school for 6 months in Spain. Abbie has worked in customer service and enjoys working with other people. Currently, Abbie is working as a Barista in a Cafe. Andy has a logistics background working his way up at a Canadian summer camp from a sports activity head to a logistics coordinator for the entire camp. In 2023, Andy turned his hand to pizza making and thoroughly enjoyed all the excitement that came with working in a busy kitchen! Andy is currently working as a Distribution Assistant for a packaging company.

Both of us have worked in customer-facing roles, retail and hospitality. Such roles have enabled us to work effectively as a team, understand the importance of following procedures and develop excellent customer service skills.

Much of our experience has enabled us to develop a strong ability to work with a diverse range of people. Our work ethic brought us together and although we work hard, we think it's really important to have fun, laugh a lot and enjoy what you do!
