Hi everyone my name is Nele,


I am 23 y.o., from Germany. I’ve been living in the Netherlands for the past years and now moved to Northern Italy for a while:)

I am an outdoorsy, sociable, and independent person, always open to learn new skills, and not afraid of heavy work, on the contrary, I rather enjoy and feel good when being active:) This, of course, does not mean that I do not enjoy my time indoors. I like to bring a cozy and warm energy into the things I do.
I can take responsibility, am helpful and very reliable. I don't do a job just half-way, I am dedicated and always try to optimise. I like talking to other people and I like to share my knowledge and energy.

In my free time I look after and ride horses, go climbing and dancing, play the piano, cook, do various DIY projects, or read books.
I’ve been working with horses since I was seven and I love these animals more than everything. Especially that experience got me used to being outside in almost every weather from snow, rain or thunder up to the burning summer heat. Experience with sailing also helped me to become quite „weatherproof“:D
I love hiking, stargazing, crafts and nature in general. I live in a family where we do as much handiwork as possible by ourselves so I am quite creative regarding many things from quick fixes to long term solutions.

I am looking forward to learn about new cultures, countries, people, and their history. I want to broaden my horizon and like to share my experiences. Especially after having travelled, lived, gone to school, and studied in multiple countries myself, I feel like that is such a valuable exchange to make.

I am fluent in German and English. I am conversational in Dutch, which I am always trying to improve. Some (very, very) rustic basics in French also exist, and I am currently learning Italian.

I hope to learn new recipes while living abroad. I love food and am happy to adapt, learn, and teach:)

I also try to live a more and more eco-friendly lifestyle and slowly replace everyday items to take further steps towards zero-waste (or at least reduce waste).

I am very much interested in EVERYTHING and open to new things so I am the person you can take to the most ordinary all the way to the most fantastic places, eat the strangest food with or talk about everything from from the weather to Einstein’s theory of relativity…

I am open and have a lot of energy while still enjoying a quiet and peaceful evening to myself :)

Some extra info...:

I have experience with children, working in a summer camp where children age 8-16 did horse riding. I was their riding instructor, supervisor on hacks, and person to talk to if any problem occurred, accompanied them throughout the whole day... I can provide more detailed information if requested

I have done numerous outdoor, indoor, academic, and social projects in the past, so if you have any specific requirements for me, feel free to ask and I will see what matches I have.

I can teach you how to sew (I sew my own clothes).

I am a quick learner an there's not much that I won't at least try.

I have a very good sense of orientation, mapping almost everything inside my head and being able to find the right direction where specific places are even though I haven't been there before.

I can deal with heavy work and I am not at all afraid to get my hands dirty. I can work in all weather. I am okay with a simple accommodation (as long as it's clean tho).

I love animals, and I am willing, capable, and happy to handle them, no matter their size or temper.

Fun fact:
I am creative, can play the piano, like to draw and have a good sense for proportion. I like to design a room's interior up to the very last decorative item so that everything fits perfectly together.

I can imagine working on a farm, in the garden or helping with environmental projects (such as cleaning up beaches, fighting invasive plants, etc...). I am also very open to work with all types of animals

Could also imagine being an au-pair or teaching languages, as I would like to share my experience with speaking multiple ones.
