Hi, I’m Nora!
I’m from the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, and this summer I am taking the leap into my first Workaway adventures in the beautiful British Columbia! I started my journey in Squamish at the beginning of May, settling in with a good friend from back home who moved to the area 2 years ago. I would love to explore Vancouver island throughout the month of June, and eventually make my way to the east side of the province come July/August. I have arranged to be a volunteer at the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues festival at the end of July which I am super excited about!
Throughout my Workaway adventures this summer, I want to learn an array of new skills and be able to connect with nature and community. I am a creative person who loves working away at various projects and upcycling! Some of my other hobbies/interests include live music, animals and adventure tourism. I have worked in various parts of the tourism industry all my life, and am passionate about travel and connecting with people from across the globe. I am excited to dive into all of the unique experiences that this amazing platform and its host have to offer! :) -

I have six years of experience in the tourism/hospitality industry, working positions such as bartender, server, bellhop, etc. I am also a very creative and curious person, always looking for a new project to take on. I have done various freelance work, including gardening, cooking cleaning and more in my spare time I enjoy crafting cooking and finding new adventures to pass the spare time.
