Hello!
My name is Quinlan. I am from Asheville, North Carolina—a place where art, music, and community flow through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Between a couple of associate degrees (Fine Arts and Culinary Arts degree) I have been traveling on and off for the past 6 years, I’m currently concluding my 3rd season in the backcountry of Alaska, working as a Lead Naturalist and Hiking Guide at a remote lodge, accessible only by plane, near the largest mountain in North America. Here, I’ve had the joy of guiding guests through the untamed beauty of Denali, sharing stories of plants, animals, and the native people that have stewarded this land. As the season turns toward winter, our days are winding down, and I am planning a trip to South America, likely with a bicycle.
My journey so far has been rooted in the fine arts and culinary world, having recently completed my degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality. I’ve poured myself into guiding groups through diverse mountainous terrains, pottery art studios, natural building, plant based kitchens, guest services, and learning the craft of feeding both body and soul through plant forward food.
I bring with me a collection of skills: guiding outdoor tours, cooking and menu planning, caring for animals, organizing spaces, ceramics, upholstery, and offering warm hospitality. I’m a careful, precise worker, eager to learn whatever you’re willing to teach. I approach every task with quiet dedication and an open heart.
In the spaces between work, I find joy in the simple things. Cycling through forests, creating pottery, sharing meals with friends. I’m passionate about art, nature, and justice, always seeking to live in harmony with the world around me. Thank you for taking the time to read a bit of my story. I’m excited to meet others on this journey, to learn, to grow, and to share in the beauty of new experiences!
Cheers!
