Description
My name is Vero, I'm 43 years old. I live in Uruguay, South America. I have a degree in Visual Arts and work in both formal and non-formal education. I currently live at "Agua Dulce," a small farm of 5 hectares. We are a community of people who strive to live in harmony with nature and the whole, trying to be consistent in our thoughts and actions. We have an organic garden, and we are also building homes using bioconstruction and environmentally friendly sanitation techniques. Throughout the year, we host groups of people who stay at our communal house for yoga retreats, aquatic therapies, and healing ceremonies connected to shamanism and other Latin American worldviews. On my wish list is to set up a pottery workshop where we can create pieces, experiment, and share with others.
I've traveled through Workaway before, and my experiences have been fantastic. I was in a community in the Peloponnese, Greece, building a path out of pebbles and mud. I also traveled to Burgundy, France, staying with Jean Pierre and Francine, who taught me a mosaic technique that I still practice today. I really enjoy traveling and getting to know places through connections with local people. I'm interested in cultural exchange in all its forms. I'll be in Europe for three months, mostly in Spain, but also in Greece and Portugal. I'm so happy to have this opportunity to travel and learn.
