We've been selected the Best Hostel in Palestine the past two years so you're sure to have a great time! And unlike many nearby hostels, we are NOT volunteer-run. We have paid Palestinian staff. The volunteers are there to support our staff instead of replacing them.
We take on volunteers for 2-3 FULL months. Volunteers experience daily life in one of the most fascinating places on Earth, interacting daily with staff, guests, and the community.
Helping with Tourists
Our volunteers will have the opportunity to open their eyes to the reality of life in the West Bank. The area is in the headlines almost daily, so it's very interesting for foreigners to see and decide for themselves what's really happening on the ground. Volunteers can also learn Arabic and spend time talking with staff about Palestinian culture. Ramallah has lots of cultural events going on all the time.
The volunteer supports local paid staff for up to 4 hours a day on various tasks, in exchange for free lodging. Tasks include keeping brochures in order, communicating daily with the manager, and making sure guests are happy.

Ramallah is in Palestine, a fascinating and completely safe area right next to Israel (but much cheaper). There are plentiful opportunities to explore local culture, history, and politics.
