    Description

We’re a friendly and energetic family of five living on the stunning Beara Peninsula in West Cork, Ireland. We have three wonderful children — two girls (4 and 2) and a sweet baby boy born in March 2025. We’re looking for a caring, fun-loving au pair to join our family from January 2026.

If you enjoy spending time with young children, love the outdoors, and are looking for an authentic Irish experience in a beautiful, peaceful part of the country, we’d love to hear from you! You’ll be part of our daily family life, helping with the kids and joining us on little adventures along the way.

We offer a warm home, a supportive environment, and the chance to truly connect with our family. Come be part of something special!

Life in our corner of West Cork is all about community spirit, outdoor adventures, and a deep connection to nature. We live in a close-knit village on the Beara Peninsula, where the GAA – especially football – is at the heart of local life. Whether you’re cheering on the sidelines or joining in community events, you’ll quickly feel part of something special.

Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, there’s no shortage of things to do. Scenic walks, coastal hikes, sea swims, kayaking, and even mountain trails are all on your doorstep. From peaceful strolls to thrilling outdoor pursuits, Beara offers a beautiful blend of relaxation and adventure.

If you love the outdoors and enjoy being part of a warm, welcoming community, you’ll feel right at home here.

We are looking for help 5 days a week as we both work full time but mainly at home with some days a month we will need to go to Dublin but never at the same time. Our eldest daughter is starting primary school which is walking distance from our house. She will be finished at 2pm each day. Our next girl will be in childcare each day until 5pm. So we need help minding our baby boy and eldest girl when she's finished each day and on school holidays.

Our girls are very bright energic good kids who are great friends, love exploring the outdoors and big into art & crafts. Our baby is a very happy, content baby who sleeps well.

We want you to be part of our family and share in our everyday activities and we also have an interest in learning about you, your family and your culture. It is important to us that you enjoy your stay and improve your English while you are here so we will do everything we can to help you with this.

If you have a full European driving license we can insure you in our car and there is also a local bus stop outside our house when goes to the nearest towns where there are other au pairs to connect with.

You’ll be staying in our spacious five-bedroom, two-story home with stunning sea views, located in the heart of our parish on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Our house is warm, welcoming, and full of life — a perfect blend of comfort and coastal charm.

As our au pair, you’ll have your own private double bedroom and a mostly private bathroom (used only occasionally for the children’s evening baths). You’ll also enjoy fast broadband, access to two cozy TV rooms, and plenty of space to relax and unwind.

We have a large outdoor garden, perfect for enjoying sunny days or a quiet moment with a cup of tea. With everything you need in one place and the community on your doorstep, it’s an ideal setting for a memorable Irish experience.
