  • Description

Hi there!! We're Todd and Donna, we operate a small hostel in historic Bonavista. The hostel was built by Todd's great grandfather, and was the family home for many years. Both his Grandmother and Father were raised here, and he spent a lot of time here as a child ( be sure to ask him about the goats :) ).
In 2008, after seeing a need for more budget friendly accommodation in the area, we decided to renovate the house and open a hostel. It was one of the best decisions we ever made, and we love it!!!
We are located just a short 2 minute walk to the ocean front, and a 10 minute walk to the center of town.

    What else ...

Bonavista has a lot to offer. You can spend your free time hiking some great trails, watching puffins, whales and icebergs ( there are a couple of boat tour operators if you want to get up close and personal ). There are also a ton of restaurants and cafes, where you can try traditional Newfoundland food, like cod tongues and jiggs dinner. There is a lot to learn about Newfoundland history by visiting the historic sites, such as The Ryan Premises, The Mockbeggar Plantation, and the Lighthouse. You can check out the theatre or one of the local pubs for some live entertainment.
We have bicycles for helpers to use, as well as a truck which will sometimes be available (with a valid drivers licence). We also provide daily transportation to St.John's.
