Description
Hi! We are Lisa (NL) and Frank (BE) and we, and our toddler daughter and baby son, found a beautiful place in the Creuse last year. It consists of two houses: a 200-year-old farmhouse and a 80-year-old mansion. To top it all off, a large garden (5000 M2) around it.
The garden is both a blessing and a curse, because maintaining it is quite a job with two young kids around, so we are looking for people who want to lend a hand. That is why we are looking for people who want to help us with that. There is also a lot to do inside the houses, so if you are a handyman or -woman you are also very welcome. If you can sand, paint and clean that's great!Types of help and learning opportunities

We are still discovering new things in and around the houses and in the garden, so join us on a journey of discovery. And be sure to visit the beautiful and fun places in the area. We have already discovered very nice ones in the time we are here and are happy to share them with you. We love good conversations and would like to get to know you better. We like it when you come and enjoy our house, because we like it so much ourselves. Do not expect luxury, but an authentic place with the basics in order, in beautiful surroundings and in the company of a friendly Dutch/Belgian family.

Help
The work mainly involves pruning, mowing and planting (a tree trimmer is also very welcome). In addition, jobs can be done on the houses such as restoring old windows and frames, removing wallpaper and paint, sanding and painting.

You will stay in the old farmhouse and have your own bedroom and bathroom there (The latter depends on how many workawayers there are). And you are welcome to use one of the two living rooms. We are staying in the new part of the house. The kitchen of the old part is shared. You can cook there yourself, or we can do that together, or you can eat with us (vegetarian). What suits best or what you want. Because we eat vegetarian, we prefer not to have meat prepared or consumed. Good to know is that we don't have wifi yet.
What else ...
The Creuse is a wonderful French department. Not that touristic (luckily) so full of hidden gems to find out. We think it's a lovely destination to come to, explore and enjoy the French joie de vivre.
