Description
Share everyday life and help me care for my Tuscan farmhouse and garden
Hi! I’m Violeta, I’m 44, Italo-Argentinian, and both Italian and Spanish are my native languages. I also speak English and French well enough to communicate, and I’m always happy to use a translator when needed.
I’m neurodivergent: ADHD, autistic, highly sensitive and gifted. This means that the way I experience home life, work and social interaction can sometimes be a little different. At times I need quiet and solitude; at other times I can spend many hours deeply focused on a creative or work project.
🏳️🌈 LGBTQI+ people are very welcome.
I live in the countryside with my three beloved cats, surrounded by nature and silence.
In 2021, I bought this old farmhouse in the Tuscan hills, not far from Livorno.
The moment I walked into the garden, I fell in love with the peace of the place.
The garden is very large, with fruit trees and plenty of greenery. Over time, my dream is to create different little corners around the farmhouse, almost like a fairy garden.
A lot of renovation work has already been done, but an old farmhouse is always an evolving project!
There are still rooms that need painting, furniture and belongings to organise, spaces that could be made more comfortable, and plenty of normal maintenance and cleaning to do.
The garden also needs a lot of love: there are still several areas to fix after a flood in 2023.
You don’t need professional renovation, gardening or decorating skills. What matters much more is being careful, reasonably independent with normal household tasks and willing to contribute in a practical way.
I’m a midwife specialised in intimate health, pelvic health and sexuality.
I work from home a lot, and one of the rooms is also used to film educational videos, online courses and social media content.
So you may see lights, tripods, anatomy models and books in some of the work areas!
I am currently looking for women only.
I would like to have a video call before confirming a stay. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying with me is a chance to experience life in the Tuscan countryside through the lens of a neurodivergent, creative, and holistic lifestyle.
You’ll learn about Italy from a bilingual Italo-Argentinian perspective, I can share both
Italian and Latin American culture, and we can speak in Italian, Spanish, English or French (or mix them all if you'd like!).
As a midwife and educator in women’s health and sexuality, I’m happy to share knowledge around body literacy, hormonal health, menstrual cycles, and how to live more in tune with your body and nature.

Help
I’m looking for a kind, respectful and independent woman who enjoys sharing some time and conversation but is also comfortable spending time on her own.
I especially appreciate people who can look at a room or a situation and notice some of the things that need doing without needing to be given one small task at a time.
You do not need to be an expert in renovations, decorating or gardening.
Some possible activities are:
normal cleaning of bedrooms and common spaces;
occasional deeper cleaning;
cleaning windows and shutters;
cleaning furniture, shelves and surfaces.
helping make the house more comfortable and pleasant.
Cleaning is a normal and important part of taking care of a large farmhouse, so I appreciate people who already have some independence and experience with household cleaning.
Depending on what needs doing, you may also help with:
painting walls or small paint touch-ups;
organising decorative elements;
simple creative or DIY projects.
If you enjoy decorating, organising spaces or small creative home projects, there will probably be something here that you will enjoy.
Depending on the season, outdoor activities may include:
organising outdoor spaces and garden tools;
mowing the grass;
watering plants;
picking fruit;
sowing seeds or planting bulbs;
moving or stacking firewood when needed;
helping me create small, pleasant areas around the house. -

Accommodation
You’ll have your own room with a private bathroom for Workawayer (one-and-a-half bed, desk, wardrobe).
Between the room and the bathroom, there’s also a single bed and a linen storage area.
Violeta has her own private bathroom.
Keeping your own bedroom clean and tidy is your responsibility and is not included in the exchange hours.
I ask guests to maintain a normal level of daily order: making the bed, keeping clothes and personal belongings organised, and cleaning when necessary.
At the end of your stay, please leave your bedroom and bathroom clean and tidy.
I have a very well-equipped kitchen and I enjoy cooking.
I eat a varied diet, but meals are mostly based on vegetables, legumes, grains and other plant foods. Meat is eaten only a few times a week.
Kitchen life is usually shared. We can cook together, teach each other recipes or alternate, and we generally follow the informal rule: “the person who cooks doesn’t wash the dishes.”
If I need some help preparing a meal because I have to work, the time spent cooking will of course be included in the exchange hours.
There’s Wi-Fi, but mobile signal is limited and only works in some areas.
The upper floor still runs on extension cords (electric work pending).
In winter, the house isn't very warm; the inside temperature ranges from 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. I heat the house with a wood stove. For heating the bathroom, I use a gas stove. -
What else ...
The farmhouse is in a quiet rural area and is isolated from towns and villages.
There are no shops, cafés, supermarkets or train stations within comfortable walking distance.
⚠️⚠️⚠️
There will be bicycles at the house, allowing you to reach Collesalvetti in a half-hour ride.
I can't always provide a ride to the city center when I go to work in Livorno or to the nearest bus station. I drive to Livorno 1-2 times a week, I don't accompany people to Livorno unless I have to go too.
The nearest train station is Livorno Centrale and the airport is Pisa Galileo Galilei.
When you arrive I'll pick you up in Livorno.
House rules
No smoking inside the house (outdoor areas are fine if done respectfully).
Please be mindful of shared spaces and clean up after yourself.
Respect for the animals and nature around us is very
At home you will learn the other rules for a pleasant coexistence
Household items, tools and shared spaces must be used carefully and according to the instructions provided. When unsure about how to use or clean something, please ask before proceeding. -

Can host digital nomads
The internet connection works via satellite. It’s usually stable, but occasionally it may drop for a few seconds or minutes — so it’s good to be aware if you work remotely or rely heavily on online access.
-
Space for parking camper vans
There is space to park a campervan, but I don’t have the facilities for water, electricity hook-up, or waste disposal — so it's better suited for short stays or self-sufficient setups.
-
Can possibly accept pets
Unfortunately my cats are not used to being around other animals, so I cannot host people with pets.
