Description
Hi, we live in the countryside, close to Hildesheim, and have space for 2 travellers (close friends or a couple, because you will share a bed.) Uwe (58), Ute (57), Alrun (18, and if not workawaying herself somewhere) and Fine (dog 10). Lovely village, woods and fields, and in the center of Germany. 3h to Berlin, 2 h to Hamburg via train. Hildesheim with it´s world heritage monuments is around the corner. Best: Accompany me to Germany´s most beautiful places, where I present my puppett show. Two daughters left home for studying and travelling, so there is space and a welcome for you in our friendly home and village. Ute is working in Hildesheim, so there is daily commute to and from this town. We pick you up at Hildesheim or Banteln railwaystation.

We love to travel, so travellers are very welcome. Organic cooking, fireside, living in the garden.

Help
From Jan to March we do some wall painting. Cooking, walk the dog, bring in some logs for the fireside, heat the sauna. That´s it. In Spring and Summer: Walk the dog, gardening, house keeping, vegetarian cooking. All over the year: Relax from the big cities you´ve visited recently and get strong for your soon coming urban adventures.

We almost passed two weeks at Uwe's and his family's place. It was a wonderful time and we loved all the nice talks we had with them! I had my first workaway experience with this family and it was defenitely awesome. I spent with them 6 wonderful weeks. The help they needed was quite simple, gardening, house maintenance, painting walls and removing paint from old doors with sand paper.
