Description
Hi, I'm Mery from Banten, Indonesia. This place is right by the beach - quiet sunny, simple, and still a bit wild. I'd love to slowly turn part of it into a small coastal garden. I'm not an expert and i haven't fully figured out where to start yet - so we'll be exploring and experimenting side-by-side.
I spend time both here and in the city, but during your stay I'1I be around to host you, cook together, share ideas and enjoy slow days by the sea. This is meant to be a shared experience, not tasks you do alone.
There are two friendly beach dogs who love walking by the shore (and occasionally stealing sandals - so hide yours inside!). The area is also close to Ujung Kulon Nationa Park, local fishing villages, and long quiet beaches to walk every day.
This place suits someone who enjoys:
. simple living
. nature and quiet surroundings
. slow routines
. hands-on learning
We'll start small, go slowly, and see what grows.

The place is right by the beach in a quiet part of Banten, so it's easy to experience simple coastal village life here. You can walk to the fishing village, stop by the local fish market, and see how people here live closely with the sea.
I enjoy cooking and I'm happy to share Indonesian dishes or learn your style of cooking too. If you'd like, we can also practice English and Indonesian together - no pressure, just casual daily conversation.
This is a slow, calm environment. If you enjoy nature, quiet routines, and simple living, you'll likely feel comfortable here.
Help
I'm slowly starting a small coastal garden here, and I'd love to learn and do tasks together. The land is sandy and still untouched, so we'll experiment step by step to see what can grow well in this environment. You don't need to be an expert curiosity, patience, and a gentle pace are enough.
Tasks may include:
• Preparing simple garden beds
• Trying out soil improvement methods using natural/local materials
• Planting herbs, small veqetables, or coastal-friendly plants
• Light outdoor upkeep around the house area
• Taking gentle walks with the dogs or keeping them company
There is also a local helper who comes regularly and knows the place well. We'll share the tasks together and support each other. The idea is to learn, try, adjust, and enjoy the process, not to rush or "finish" a big project.
We'll just do a few focused hours each day and we can decide together whether to do tasks in the morning or afternoon depending on the weather. After that, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy the beach, rest, or explore. The atmosphere here is relaxed, but I do appreciate someone who is present, steady, and willing to participate with intention.

I speak Indonesian and conversational English. I'm happy to help you practice Bahasa Indonesia in dailv life, and I'd love to improve my English through simple conversation. No formal lessons, just learning naturally while doing things together or talking over meals.
Accommodation
You’ll stay in a simple wooden hut inside the property. It has a bed, fan, and basic furniture. The bathroom is separate, and there’s a shared kitchen you can use anytime.
The place is very quiet, and the beach is right in the area — you can walk to the shoreline in a few minutes. It’s great for morning walks, sunset views, or just relaxing after work.
I try to provide meals when I’m around, but when I’m away, please be comfortable cooking for yourself with the ingredients available or from the local market.
What else ...
In your free time, you can walk along the beach, visit the small fishing village, read, relax, or just enjoy being outdoors.
Transport to the nearest town is possible but limited, so this suits someone who doesn't mind being a bit away from busy city life and enjoys a peaceful routine.

Jess (female Golden Retriever) and Chom male mixed breed) are our friendly beach dogs. Jess is the boss and Chom happily follows her everywhere. They love walking by the beach and sometimes get very excited and steal sandals (please keep yours inside the hut!). They are sweet, playful and used to meeting new people. They'll probably become your daily walking buddies.
