Description
Hi! We are a small family - Alex, 47, Birgit, 37, Leon, 13, and Elli, 2. Our house is located in the area of Upper Austria, about 20 km away from Linz. Right next to the house, there is a small forest (children love it, because there are many dwarfs along the footpath :-) ).
The house is surrounded by a big garden. We have many roses but we also grow vegetables for our own use (automatic irrigations makes that possible).
We have enough room in the house for a guest/or guests and we would appreciate a little help in exchange, as there are constantly things to do in and around the house (cleaning, cooking?, gardening). You will be on your own in the house as well as we have to go to Salzburg for our jobs (you can join us there sometimes, too!). The internet connection is very good, so you can stay connected for work etc.
Talking about connection: There is no shop within walking distance. But we would leave you the car or give you an allowance for the bus. We would - of course - also pay for the food you need when we are gone.
We are currently trying to go green - for instance, we are putting solar panels on the roof for green electricity.
What's important for us is that we get along with our guest. We want you and us to be happy :-)
Looking forward to meeting you!Types of help and learning opportunities

We do have a house in the country (where I grew up) and a flat in Salzburg (city center). Our guest would be in the house with us and on their own (housesitting). We can offer to take him/her to Salzburg from time to time as it is a stunningly beautiful and culturally rich city.
Our guest could also learn about gardening and DIY, as there is almost nothing we don't do on our own around the house.
I am also a German teacher, so you can practice your German and ask me questions.Projects involving children

Help
What is really important to us is help around the garden as it is really big :-) We grow flowers and also vegetables. There are also always things to do around the house. We are also happy if our guest can do the cooking sometimes. Our little daughter is also quite open to new people and will be happy if you play with her.
