    Description

My name is Jan Abrahim and believe in the power of dreaming.
My place has been and is for more than 20 years a space to be together, to work together, to meet each other, mainly for my friends and family. There is something very beautiful in being together like this. The best way to connect and meet on a deeper level.
In a big barn I realized a kitchen, bathroom and sleeping places for general use.
On the premises are two caravans with good mattresses.
The old ruin, next to the barn, will be broken down. Only the facade will remain and on the groundfloor is place to put for example a geodesic dome.
For the time being I still live in Dalem, South Holland and spend one week per month and the whole month of August at the project.
The French Ardennes are a widely spread conglomerate of small farms, situated in a protected Nature Park. There is space and silence.
We live in a fast changing world, and actually we don’t know where it is all going to. But I think we will go back to live in small interdependent communities and I feel inside myself a natural movement towards it.
It’s a big step to open up for a new way of living.
You are invited to explore the possibilities and meet one another by being and doing together the things we love, to create spaces for more visitors, to find your own way in this time of transformation and maybe find out what you ar looking for.
The actual wish right now is to build a dome, a place for visitors to find rest and inspiration and to create a little foodforest in a untouched part of the garden. (+/- 3500 m2 - almost an acre)

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I hope we will exchange our inspiration. I think we have to go back to self sustaining small community's. We will meditate and do exercises together and learn how it is to work towards a goal and be in the here and now at the same time. Diversity and inclusion are important themes in an fast changing world.

    Help

Right now I need help for finishing the spaces in the barn and maintenance of the garden. I planned a working period in October for friends and family, from the 1th to the 14th. You are very welcome to join, even for a day or two.
Each month I spend at least one week at the project. I will adjust my agenda to meet the possibilities.

    Accommodation

There are several caravans and an attic to sleep in. For when there are many visitors at the same time, my neighbor is offering some extra beds. It is very nice to notice that the community feeling in the village is growing.

    What else ...

The project is located in the French Ardennes, a big protected area of farms of average sizes in a park-like landscape. Silence and space can be experienced as a supporting element of being here. There is not much to do, you'll need at least an electric bike for transport.
I'll get you of the train and back.
The village is small, two permanent households and three ‘residents secundaires’. We regularly meet, eat or have coffee together and help eachother. The community building has started :-)
