---Looking for help with our huskies ---- Minimum stay is 3-4months---
We are hoping to find a volunteer that would love to help us take care of our sled dogs during the summer time. For the right person this could also turn into a seasonal job for the autumn/winter season. So if you wanted to get into the mushing world, here might be your chance!
Currently we are just looking for someone to help us with some small summer projects and dog care taking in trade for accommodation and food. Having previous experience is a plus but absolutely not a must! We will learn you everything you need to know for doing your work. For hours worked we offer small wage following minimum wage rules
Our dog yard has 80 hardworking Siberian huskies and is located in Ivalo (North Finland). During winter season we are driving with tourist whom are coming from all over the world.They are coming to experience this once in a life time activity under our supervision. We give them a glimps of our world, passion and life with our huskies, which we do with a smile. But during summer we have no guest, so it's just us and the dogs.
Who are you? You are a team player, independent, highly motivated ,hard working, physical strong, speak English well and you are interested in working with dogs and learning all about their needs. Be prepared for cold weather - up to 45- degrees! Your minimum age should be 24 years old and you should have a drivers licence.

You will learn about huskies and dog care.
It is a remote area. There is a village a few km away with a supermarket, restaurants, hotels, etc. We are close to Urho kekkosen nationalpark where you can hike/ bike/ski and enjoy the beautiful nature of Lapland.
