Description
Hello! My name is Louisa, I am an estate agent in Aurignac. My husband John, who is English and retired , and I live in the south west of France in the Haute Garonne between Toulouse and Tarbes near the Pyrenees and Spain. We moved into an old stone farmhouse at the end of 2014 in a beautiful unspoilt location with stunning views over the Pyrenees. The house is finished in terms of renovation. However, there is still the outside area and a small part of the barn to finish. At the moment we are building a carport and have finished a room dedicated to yoga and meditation.
In the garden we need to finish the pond, the surrounding area, the small greenhouse and the vegetable garden. We planted fruit trees in February 2016 and created rectangles for vegetables.
If you want to know the basics of permaculture and how to restore a house you are in the right place for that.
We cater for all cuisines but we particularly like Asian and French food.
I would describe myself more as a person with a fairly broad vision ...on the path (if any) to Self ... John is more pragmatic. We are open-minded and want to welcome people with whom we can share and receive them as members of our family for a real exchange.
We are the easy-going type and we hope you are too!

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Louisa, je suis agent immobilier à Aurignac. Avec mon mari John qui est anglais à la retraite , nous vivons dans le sud Ouest de la France en Haute Garonne entre Toulouse et Tarbes près des Pyrénées et de l'Espagne. Nous avons emménagé fin 2014 dans une ancienne ferme en pierres dans un superbe endroit préservé avec une vue imprenable sur la chaîne des Pyrénées. La maison est finie au niveau rénovation Il reste cependant les abords extérieurset une toute petite partie de la grange à terminer. En ce moment nous sommes entrain de construire un abri voiture et avons fini une piece dédiée au yoga et la meditation.
Au niveau jardin il nous faut finir la mare, aménager ses abords et terminer la petite serre et entretenir le jardin potager. Nous avons planté des arbres fruitiers en février 2016 et créé des rectangles pour les légumes.
Si vous voulez connaître les bases de la permaculture et comment restaurer une maison vous êtes au bon endroit pour cela.
Nous nous adaptons à toutes les cuisines mais nous aimons particulièrement la cuisine asiatique et française.
Je me qualifierai plutôt comme une personne avec une vision assez large ...sur le chemin (s'il en a un) du Soi ... John est plus pragmatique. Nous avons l'esprit ouvert et nous voulons accueillir des personnes avec lesquels nous pouvons partager et les recevoir comme des membres de notre famille pour un réel échange.
Nous sommes du genre faciles à vivre et nous espérons que vous l’êtes aussi !

We're looking for help with various projects, including stone work, gardening, and landscaping. We hope to complete a permaculture project on our land. We're going to build raised beds, plant and finish an area for our pond (which is already dug). We welcome workawayers in the fall and winter months as well as spring and summer time.
Nous recherchons de l'aide pour différents projets comme du jardinage courant, l'entretien du potager sur buttes, Nous avons aussi le projet de terminer comme la mare qui est déjà creusée. Votre présence est souhaitable tout au long de l'année pour mener ces projets à bien. A l'intérieur il reste à faire des aménagement s dans la grange.

We're close to the Spanish border, halfway between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean (250km from each). We live in the Haute Garonne region, less than an hour south of Toulouse. Here you'll have great views of the Pyrenees and a chance to experience nature in a beautiful region in the south of France.

This is a late review (sorry Ellie) but better late than never! Ellie is easy going, pleasant and what I would call an active young person. she is a quality person and a great hard worker ! I hope to see her again someday and would recommend her as a workaway to anyone. Best wishes !
