  We are a large, international family who love spending time with our nearest and dearest as often and with as much flair as possible. Our family home is an oasis, not only for us, but for those that visit us. An old castle, which we have transformed into our sanctuary. The house itself has many nooks to relax and explore in, and the garden offers hours of peace and quite, inspiration and calm.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We are an international family with many interests. We all play musical instruments, love games evenings and travel often - we would be happy to share some of our experiences with you, mske music together, or just chat over a cup of tea. Our home is near many wonderful cultural sites and we would be happy to recommend wonderful day trips as well.

  Help

  We travel often, but once a year, we come together in our family home and invite our nearest and dearest to visit us. This culminates in a small midsummer party. For the month of June, we are therefore looking for some helping hands to assist the family to prep the castle for our friends and also look forward to meeting some new potential people in the process.
  
  THE FAMILY HELPS WITH ALL TASKS and it really is a team effort, but we would appreciate someone who likes to get involved and support us over a couple of weeks, so that we are able to welcome our guests as effortlessly as possible.
  
  This includes:
  
  - shopping trips for supplies (a car is available if a valid european drivers license is at hand)
  - general tidying and organizing
  - setting up the dining area,
  - meal preparation,
  - post dinner clear-up and cleaning.
  
  After the midsummer party we are ideally looking for someone who can help restore the castle to its day-to-day state. This includes:
  
  - washing and packing away linen,
  - cleaning up after the party and
  - packing up the dining area.
  
  All-in-all we would need some help for roughly 3 hours a day, for about 3 - 4 weeks and for roughly 5 hours on the day of the party, which takes place on weekend of 20 June this year.
  
  In return we open our home to you, share meals and our own family culture with you and offer you a calm, inspiring environment in which you can enjoy:
  - long, sunshine afternoons in the castle gardens
  - fresh breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the gardens
  - movie nights in the cinema
  - games and books to explore throughout your stay
  - day trips to nearby cities (Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin to mention a few)
  etc.

  As a family we speak english at home so this could be a great opportunity for our helpers to learn english. We also speak german and french fluently.

  Accommodation

  We will accommodate each Workaway guest in a private room with a private en-suite bathroom. The kitchen and other shared areas are available to the workaway guests at all times and will be shared with the family. We will provide meals for the duration of your stay. If we eat together as a family you are welcome to join. If not, we will make sure there are enough provisions on site for you to cater for yourself.

  - A bus is available about 100m from the house with busses at least once an hour
  - A car can be made available if a valid drivers license is at hand
  - All guests must be ok with animals as the family includes a large dog
