I have been travelling for almost 3 years in South America and India, using workaway also.
I'm in the process to settle in my happy little paradise in southern France. The village is called Mialet in the Cevennes. My house is very well located inside the National parc. There is always friends and family around.

Help around the house
You will have a wonderful time going to the river situated 5 minutes walking from my house, doing acrobranche, trecks in the national parc, visiting caves and museums, bicycling, running, rock climbing, going to local markets, trying the delicious specialities from the area... It's a very touristic area, with lots and lots of things to do!!
We can also do yoga in the morning, on the terrace as i'm a yoga instructor.
I would need help for the renovations of the house: painting, putting wood on the floor, gardening, etc.
It's the time of the year to cut the trees and work in the garden.
From November, I will need help for construction as I'm making a new floor to my house.
Artists could make some paintings inside the house.
4 hours working per day is expected, 2 days per week are free.
- private/ shared room depending how many people we are here: I have 2 bedrooms with two single beds available for workawayers (currently family and friends are using the rooms)
How to go around?
As I live in the mountains, it's best to have a car or a bicycle to go around, the buses are very limited. But there are plenty of things to visit very close by feet from the house : river, acrobranche, museum, caves, trecks,... To go a bit farther, hitchhicking could be an option: it's pretty safe and efficient over here.
How to reach?
The closest airport is Nîmes, from there you can take a train to Alès where I can come pick you up, or you can also take the bus A42 to Anduze or Saint-Jean du Gard where I come pick you up. You could also take a plane to Marseille and a bus to Nîmes. Also check Blablacar, some rides might be available.
We eat local food that we cook all together. We make turns for cleaning the dishes,2 people each cleaning. The food is not vegan, but mainly vegetarian. We have plenty of delicious fruits as plums, peachs, abricots, melons,... Cheeses are also very famous and delicious.
