    Description

    Hi Workawayers,

We are a small family of 2 children (Hazel is soon to be 8 & William is 6) with three loveable doggies and two beautiful young cats who are brothers.

We live just over a mile away from the sea, on the south coast of Cornwall in a lovely big Edwardian house in close proximity to the town centre of St Austell with a quarter an acre of stunning garden to enjoy.

I (Libby) run our creative business from home and also we are starting a tea room/gift shop this Summer in the town centre. Toby is solar panel installing and roofing, so I've found myself quite stretched and in need of an au pair.

We have a welcome space (small single room) for a live-in au pair for this summer, you will have free reign of the house and gardens so you won't feel cooped up. It will be a cultural exchange and we are hapy for you to speak in your own language to the children, as well as them correct yours ;) Ideally French speaking but not mandatory.

Our offer for a workawayer includes free food and a private bedroom, wifi etc. in exchange for 30 hours a week of au pairing to include light housework.

You will be part of our family outings to the seaside, local gardens, the moors etc, so much to do in this beautiful part of the world, so it's important that we can become friends. We have had incredible workawayers over the years who feel like family.

So if we can attract someone to join our tribe, we would ideally love you ASAP until October (where we then have the sister of an old friend who started as our workawayer joining us until Christmas).

Toby & I are very easy going and would welcome you with open arms into our family. Our kids aren't bad either ;)

Thanks for taking the time to read this,

    Libby & family x

Cornish lifestyle, we live an enriched life! This could be an exciting placement for someone loving, kind, silly, calm, happy, (sometimes energetic with kiddies) a dog lover, countryside lover, there are local colleges within walking distance that offer all kinds of classes to further your learning. St Austell is the biggest town in Cornwall, having said that, it’s not massive. We live close to the train station for direct access to big cities, all within an hour's commute.
