    Description

I am a lady in my 40s with one child, 2 dogs, 2 cats and some fish. I live in a warm 3 bedroom house in a village which is very small (no shops) however is on a bus route and only half hour bus ride to the centre of Aberdeen.

We also have a local shop and bigger villages and town from a 2minute drive for local shop to 15 minute drive away for bigger towns. There are lots of lovely walking trails round us (or cycling) close to beaches (10 minute drive) or Bennachie hill 30 mins away.

I often compete with my dogs in various dog sports which can take me up and down the country. I would love some help with childcare as I have chronic pain and just looking for a little help getting my little boy ready for playgroup, maybe entertaining him some afternoons through the week (he is in a childcare setting mon - fri 9-12 ) walk one of the dogs sometimes. Some light housework and tidying up the wee ones toys after etc. Helping with bedtime routine some nights. If I am away competing then you would be either with me looking after my little boy (we would usually camp at the shows and the tent would be provided unless you prefer your own.

Or you might be required to stay at the house and house sit the other pets. Looking for help Mon - Friday maybe around 5 hours a day on and off (eg an hour in morning, few hours in afternoon, hour in evening. Weekends off. Flexible though, if need a weekday to do some sightseeing etc that is not an issue as I will be taking my wee boy out some afternoons too so you would have free time through the week too. Personality wise I am fairly quiet, I'm quite ocd about cleanliness in the house, washing hands etc before eating / after coming in from outside or handling the animals so looking for someone that is like minded.

I mainly spend evenings reading or watching a bit of TV (netflix and good Internet connection provided) , relaxing. Dinner would be on offer at nights, I try to buy organic as much as possible and do nutritious cooking of meat and veg style meals but sometimes it'll just be pie and chips thrown in oven or something some like bakes potato with salad and filling. Lunch stuff and breakfast foods also provided, mainly selection of breads cereal croissants etc for breakfast and sandwhiches or soups for lunch.

There could be some garden upkeep if you are interested in gardening (very basic just some pots with flowers and maybe hosing down areas occasionally,) not essential though. If you are interested in dog sports I can teach you everything I know. I only speak English so I would like someone with good spoken English, I can help with teaching written English. Looking for someone ideally for at least 8 weeks or the duration of summer (or longer) rather than lots of different people coming and going. I have a car which only I would drive.

If I am going out for afternoon I can drop you at destinations or collect if it is en route. Or you can come with us for the sightseeing and the bus to Aberdeen is every hour approximately. You would have your own room in the house, with a small double bed. The room doubles up as an office so I would still need to use it every so often to do some emails etc. Usually in morning for an hour or so a few times a week at tbe most. Nice opportunity for a dog and cat loving person who has childcare experience to live a short while in beautiful Aberdeenshire in Scotland. There are also trains linking Aberdeen to Dundee/ Glasgow Edinburgh etc and aviemore/ Highlands are not far away.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You could learn about dog training and dog sports such as dog agility and hoopers. You can learn better English perhaps you speak English well but would like to improve spelling and grammar. You can explore the Aberdeenshire countryside perhaps join a walking or running group to learn about what Scotland has to offer. I can also teach basic computer skills, how to do spreadsheets (excel) Microsoft word, use Internet etc.

Mainly Childcare for a 3 year old, getting him ready for playgroup, entertaining him for a few hours some afternoons, helping with bedtime routine some evenings.
Help with the dogs maybe doing feeding or walking one some days.
Gardening on a basic level. Some garden maintenance for a small garden mainly paved with some pots of flowers so watering / weeding. Washing slabs occasionally. Only if interested in gardening though, is not essential.

    Topping up dog water dishes.

Knowledge of first aid and childcare beneficial.
Some basic help round house , helping clean shower / some hoovering or mopping a few times a week , help with dishwasher after eating etc.

Looking for workawayers that have good references from hosts and due to looking after my child I'd be looking for a police check document such as an enhanced disclosure.

    What else ...

It is a quiet neighbourhood where all the neighbours in the village know each other and look out for each other. Aberdeenshire in general has lots of lovely restaurants, castles, distilleries. There are forests and farmland, hills, horseriding is available locally, there are cycling and walking routes. Beaches nearby. I tend to balance some dog training with house work and relaxation it is a slow pace if life for me to keep my pain levels in check but I am always busy. I do some yoga stretches when I can or perhaps go for walks.
