Description
Do the balancing act between sustainable living and enjoying youth. Welcome to our world! That sums up our way of living in Chemnitz, Saxony. We? That is myself (Attila) and two of my best friends Finn and Willy. Us three decided to build a tiny house and a tipi on a big property of land. Besides, we are trying our best to grow our own food and create a sustainable circuit of water and energy usage. All of this while being only 22 years old and working or studying next to our big dream project of our beautiful garden.
The pictures were taken last year as we celebrated finishing the roof of the house, the so-called “Richtfest”. As you can see next to all the hard work the fun should not be neglected. Since then a lot has changed and the tiny house is almost completed, but this is something that you can see for yourself.
We are looking for young, independent people like us, who want to get things done, while having fun and enjoying life to the fullest. Don't be afraid to contact us, you don't need any skills or knowledge. We are very easy going and we will find a solution for anything.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Finn and Willy are professional carpenters, so they can teach you a lot about woodworking. Most importantly you will get the opportunity to be creative and try out the stuff you want. We are filled with many tools and machinery that are waiting to be tried.
Of course you can also learn German and you will become part of our social life and join us for activities with friends, parties and sport.Help
The Majority of your help would be to help us around the house in our everyday lives. On the weekends there is usually some sort of bigger project like building something outside or doing some gardening.
But it is important for us to point out that we don't expect any sort of working hours. You can take as much freetime as you want and travel around or do activities. Even if you only do some small tasks, that still helps us a lot and is much appreciated.Languages

Since there is not enough room inside the tiny house, you would need to sleep in the tipi. That is an adventure on its own, but especially in the summer months it is very comfortable and cozy there. We can provide you with sleeping equipment. It is also possible to bring your own tent or sleep in a campervan, if you have one.
We as the hosts will provide our guests with food and drinks. You don't need to cover any of the costs for eating and we are happy to cook and eat together with the workawayers. What else ...
Chemnitz became the European Capital of Culture 2025. Next year will be filled with amazing activities and culture for visitors and inhabitants to enjoy. If you think about traveling to Saxony, next year might be the best chance to experience free music festivals, sport events and much more.
Our place is not far away from the city, so it is easy to travel here with the tram.A little more information
