    Description

Very unique situation! I am a late 20 something postgrad student (who is queer and neurodivergent) who is moving into a rundown mansion/cottage in a very affluent neighbourhood with my rambunctious kitten. I am super stoked to welcome a cool person to help me out. The property is very peaceful but is crying out for some TLC. I am big on self-development and am quite spiritual- or at least I try. I LOVE having deep conversations and I also like just having a laugh too. I am looking for someone who is kind, responsible, respectful and easy going.

The house is over 100 years old and has an interesting history :) I promise the interior is better than the exterior. I need help cleaning it out and decluttering it as well as garden work. Starting out, I will need help 5+ hours a day and that will dwindle to around 3 hours a day (if that) once the decluttering and deep cleaning is done. You would be expected to help with cleaning up dishes, tidying the place, possibly cooking, laundry, shoveling snow, raking leaves, helping out with my cat etc once the decluttering is done. I may also start up an rental project down the road and you would also help with that. I have asthma so it's important the place is clean. There is a world class bike/walking trail in front of the property- aka the Niagara Parkway trail. It is located in an extremely affluent neighbourhood. The natural scenery is quite dream-like. There are 200+ year old trees in the backyard. Maybe I will get a fire pit back there. You are welcome to use the road bike- 30 minute bike ride to NOTL- one of the most historic, beautiful and charming towns in Canada. World class park, Queenston Heights is a stone's throw away, Niagara Falls is a 50 minute bike ride away. It is a very historic and beautiful place. The property is located right on the Niagara River.

This is first and foremost about having an extra hand around to help run the place and of course I love meeting new people especially those from different places. The place needs ALOT of TLC. The language exchange is not at all mandatory. So long as the responsibilities of the house come first, you are welcome to get a part-time job somewhere (there are plenty of wineries nearby who always need help) so you can have your own spending money. You are encouraged to be at least somewhat independent when it comes to getting your own food though having some meals together would be nice. In other words, do not expect me to make all your meals. It would be good if we share that responsibility. I try to eat healthy. You are entirely responsible for a special diet. You are also required to be independent in terms of your own transportation. You are welcome to come along on my grocery trips/errands to do your own errands as well or come to the pub or restaurant with me so long as you pay for yourself. Unfortunately, the place doesn't really have access to public transit but you are welcome to use the bike (or walk or uber.)

Good vibes only! (aka no constant negativity, sexism, racism etc)

I study from home. So long as you go out SOMETIMES- even just for a walk. It's not good to be cooped up all day everyday.

    Can possibly accept pets

POSSIBLY other cats so long as you take good care of your pet. If your cat does not get along with my cat then unfortunately you will have to find somewhere else. Unfortunately, I am a bit allergic to dogs.
