Description
Situated in the sunny and quiet village of Morjim, our hostel is the perfect getaway.
We run our hostel with heart and as a hobby for three years to give something back to the traveling community. We give our best to keep costs low, palms close and the mood good.
We open for this season on 1st November, with capacity for 20 persons, providing spacious dorms, clean bathrooms, some common areas were you can relax and socialize with other travelers.
We are located in the jungle next to the center of Morjim, close to everything, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and last but not least beach.
We're actually a good mix between backpackers hostel, eco-friendly accommodation and traveling community space.
In short, we want you to think of us as a second home to spend great times at, meet new people and make new friends.
We would love to see you joining our team. We are currently four permanent staff members, the host (Clint), three maids (Sita, Sita and Bibian) taking care of the hostel and the kitchen, up to 4 volunteers, which stay at least for three weeks. We are being supported by six cats and one dog.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Get hands-on experience in Indian culture, travel tips, and lovely conversations. Get close to Goan everyday-life by getting products from markets, relax at the beach or in a hostel-hammock. Play with the cats or the dog, join our movie nights, motorbike/truck tours or use the hostel bike to explore the area.
Help
We require helping hands in the reception, informing guests about local sites, getting products from the village center or from the market, enhancing social media and at sharing smiles.
Join our truck trips to markets or beaches and sites and make sure that our guests are happy and don't get ripped off or in trouble.
We are interested in new artworks, such as paintings on wooden surfaces or on carpentries. We hope that this can be combined with the maintenance of the hostel, which mainly consists of bamboo, jute-rope and wood and which has suffered from a rough monsoon.
Don't worry, we don't need you for all of that, just for the tasks of which you feel that fit best to you. As we are new to workaway, we are also open to your experience. We're interested in a win-win situation, in which you both have a great stay and support us in the daily work.Languages spoken

We offer bunk beds in both solely female and mixed dorms, depending on your preferences and availability.
We offer Indian dishes for our guests, which the maids prepare in our kitchen using fresh, local ingredients. This happens usually twice per day, so that we can provide breakfast and lunch for you. As we currently have no staff to run the kitchen in the evening, you'll have to take care of your dinner on your own.
When we wish to have a barbeque, we chip in for getting fresh vegetables, meat or fish from the local markets and fire up the grill. We do vegetables first for vegetarians, then we finish the barbeque with non-vegetarian dishes.A little more information
