    Description

Our family is a Colombian-Italian international family who lived so far in 4 different countries. At home, we speak mainly Spanish and Italian, but English and German are common in our family jargon and used frequently to refer to our experience abroad, friends, books and other learning material. The mum works as an international development consultant, mainly from home. Dad works for the United Nations. Our kids, aged 8 and 5, are avid readers in different languages, love to spend time in outdoor activities, especially when pets or wild animals are involved, but also engage in long hours of lego playing at home.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

The uniqueness of Italy is nothing new to any traveller, and Rome offers a vast cultural landscape for all ages and personalities. Besides, our family is deeply rooted in the International atmosphere and sense of community. Throughout the recent changes of countries and languages, we have learnt to be flexible and to welcome different cultures and points of view. We love to hear stories from far away that make us dream about places and landscapes still unknown to us. Finally, most importantly, we are fun to be with, we love to laugh and have a good time.

  • Help

    Help

Our family is relocating to IT after several years spent abroad and will need some help with our kids. Mostly after-school support, some help to bring them to extracurricular activities, playdates, and similar.
Sporadical help is needed also to prepare small meals for the kids and eventually for the whole family.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    Single bedroom, private.

At home, we use to cook most of the time. During the week, kids will eat at school. As long as mum and dad are at home (usually almost every day at least one of them stays), lunch is cooked and provided to the workawayer. S/he is also allowed to cook her/his own meals, provided that the family is aware of the necessary ingredients so they can be bought in advance. We are not vegetarian but tend to eat very little quantities of meat anyway. We have a very healthy diet, with lots of fruits and vegetables. The plus is: we really love to cook! Usually, we bake our own bread and prepare homemade pasta very often.
