Description
Hello, and welcome to our home in Val-de-Saône. Recently returned to France after many years abroad (including New Zealand where we lived for 14 years), we have just bought a farmhouse to refurbish in the Rhône-Alpes region.
We are between Lyon and Macon, 5min from the banks of the Saône. There are plenty of walks and hikes to do around, as well as paths to explore by mountain bike. Belleville station is 15 minutes by car, Lyon center is 35 minutes by train.

Récemment rentrés en France après de nombreuses années à l'étranger (dont la Nouvelle-Zélande où on a vécu pendant 14 ans), on vient d'acheter une longère à retaper dans la région Rhône-Alpes. on est entre Lyon et Macon, à 5min des bords de Saône. Il y a plein de marches et randos à faire autour, ainsi que des chemins à explorer en VTT.
La gare de Belleville se trouve à 15min de voiture, Lyon centre est à 35min de train.

Will loves sharing his passion for music and Sound healing. Claire Jeanne facilitates workshops, circles and trainings in the wellness sector.
We've travelled extensively (New-Zealand, Peru, Mexico, Egypt, Spain) and we love the region we live in so we can share tips and lovely walks and biking tracks in the neighbourhood. We often attend local events in the nearby Beaujolais as well.
Will est musicien et partage volontiers sa passion pour la sono-thérapie.
Claire Jeanne anime des cercles, stages et ateliers de développement personnel.
On a beaucoup voyagé (Nouvelle-Zélande, Pérou, Mexique, Egypte, Spain etc) et on peut partager des expériences ou des lieux à visiter. On aime aussi beaucoup notre région, et on a plein de suggestions de balades découvertes du coin (ainsi que du Beaujolais voisin).
Help
We've got a 5000m2 garden, as well as a veggie garden, and there's always things to do outside ! There's also a swimming pool we'd like to renovate and use before winter.
Will is always busy with building projects of all sorts (renovating, creating cabins or bedrooms in the attic), and Claire Jeanne has admin work to do and could do with delegating the cooking !
Our veggie garden and fruit trees are very generous, so we want to do jams, syrups and other preserves.
On a un grand terrain de presque 5000m2, ainsi qu'un potager et il y a toujours de l'entretien (arroser, désherber, tondre et tailler les haies). Il y a également une piscine à réhabiliter.
Will est toujours en projet bricolage (rénovations, création des chambres dans les combles, de cabines, construction d'un bureau etc). Claire Jeanne est bien occupée avec son travail et délèguerait volontiers la cuisine !
De plus nos arbres fruitiers (pruniers, pommiers, figuiers, cerisiers) et potager sont très généreux et on veut faire des confitures, des conserves etc.

Camping, campervan and we also have a studio which can be used in between friends or family visitors.

We've got bikes you can use to go to the nearby villages (1.5km away). You can find two train stations nearby (Belleville sur Saone : train to Lyon and Macon, trains to Paris 2h45 away).
Vélos a emprunter pour aller aux villages voisins (1,5 km), cayaks à utiliser sur la Saône. 2 gares pas loin : Belleville sur Saone (TER pour Lyon) et Macon (2h45 de Paris).

I arrived in the middle of the night, after a blablacar dropped me off about 30/40 minutes away from Will and Claire. Even though it was very late, Will still came to pick me up!
