  Description

  In the heart of Cantabria, between forests and meadows, stand the typical houses of the Pasiegos valleys. These cabañas all have a very peculiar style although each one maintains its uniqueness. My family and I are restoring one of these homes. Located next to the Pas and Viaña rivers, 2 km from Vega de Pas.
  You'll stay with us, Almudena, and also with Carlos and sometimes with Navia and Eric, our children. We can understand each other in French and English in addition to Spanish.
  
  En el corazón de Cantabria, entre bosques y prados, se levantan las típicas viviendas de los valles pasiegos. Estas cabañas tienen todas un estilo muy peculiar aunque cada una mantiene su singularidad.
  Mi familia y yo estamos restaurando una de estas viviendas. Situada junto a los ríos Pas y Viaña, a 2 km de Vega de Pas.
  
  Tratarás conmigo, Almudena, y también con Carlos y a veces con Navia y Eric, nuestros hijos.
  Podemos entendernos en francés e inglés además del castellano.

  We are passionate about prehistoric art and Cantabria has some outstanding caves such as Altamira or those of Monte Castillo.
  The area is also privileged for being a place of passage for many migratory birds that have their refuge in the marshes of the coast and in the Ebro reservoir. We are members of SEO-Birdlife and the local group carries out guided tours, visits and volunteer and cleaning activities.
  An hour by car or bus we have the beaches of Suances or Comillas among others.
  We are an hour and a half from Bilbao, where you can visit the Guggenheim Museum among other cultural attractions, not to mention its fame as a place for tapas and nightlife.
  
  A mi familia nos apasiona el arte prehistórico y Cantabria tiene algunas cuevas señeras como Altamira o las de Monte Castillo.
  La zona es además privilegiada por ser lugar de paso de numerosas aves migratorias que tienen su refugio en las marismas de la costa y en el pantano del Ebro. Somos socios de SEO-Birdlife y el grupo local realiza rutas guiadas, visitas y actividades de voluntariado y limpieza.
  A una hora en coche o autobus tenemos la playas de Suances o Comillas entre otras.
  Estamos a hora y media de Bilbao, donde se puede visitar el museo Guggenheim entre otras propuestas culturales, sin contar su fama como lugar de tapeo y vida nocturna.

  What else ...

  The Monte Castillo caves are 20 minutes away, the Ebro reservoir 30 minutes away. The beaches of Suances are an hour away, as is Santander. Bilbao and Burgos are an hour and a half away.
  There is a bus stop 15 minutes away by car, which we can take you to.
  
  Tenemos las cuevas del Monte Castillo a 20 minutos, el embalse del Ebro a 30. Las playas de Suances están a una hora, lo mismo que Santander. Bilbao y Burgos a hora y media.
  Hay una parada de bus a 15 minutos en coche, a la que podemos acercarte.

  Space for parking camper vans

  At 50 meters from the cabaña we have a meadow next to the river. It has no water or electricity service. Thus, you could only camp there. Meals, toilets and other services would have to be done from home. A 50 metros de la cabaña tenemos un prado al lado del río. No tiene servicio de agua ni luz. Así, solo se podría acampar allí; las comidas, aseo y demás servicios se tendrían que hacer desde la casa.

  Can possibly accept pets

  We have a dog and two cats. The dog gets along well with any other animal (except birds) and the cats are very independent. Tenemos una perra y dos gatas. La perra se lleva bien con cualquier otro animal (salvo pájaros) y las gatas son muy independientes.
