Workawayers are welcome to join us for family meals, local events, and trips into nearby towns. We often visit farmers’ markets, local gatherings, or enjoy a relaxed evening together. The community around us is small, welcoming, and very friendly — you’ll quickly get to know neighbours, other farms, and local cafés or pubs. If you enjoy the outdoors, we’re also happy to bring you along for walks by Lough Derg or scenic drives around the countryside.

We can teach you a wide range of practical farming skills — animal care, milking routines, machinery basics, seasonal work, and how an Irish dairy farm operates day-to-day. You’ll also learn about rural Irish culture, food traditions, and the history of our area. Whether you’re looking for hands-on experience or just curious about farm life, we’re happy to guide and teach.

We love meeting people from different backgrounds and hearing about their cultures, traditions, and ways of life. Every Workawayer brings something unique, whether it’s language, stories, recipes, or a new perspective. Hosting gives us the chance to learn about the world without leaving the farm, and we truly enjoy the exchange.

    Help

We are seeking reliable, hands-on help with general farm duties. This includes assisting with daily animal care, feeding, bedding, and basic milking tasks, as well as helping maintain sheds, fences, and general farm cleanliness.

You don’t need to be an expert — just someone willing to learn, comfortable working outdoors, and able to handle physical work. A positive attitude, good communication, and respect for animals are very important. Training and support will be provided.

We are fully a fully insured farm.

Payment will be offered to the helper which will comply with the national regulation- we don't expect anyone to work for free! Acomodation will be provided free of charge.
