    Description

We are a community in the north of Spain in the middle of the forest, that consists of 8 people, 2 kids and dogs, cats, chickens. We have been living here since the spring of 2021. Our goal is to live here as self sustainable as possible, we have a big vegetable garden with permaculture standards that provides a big percentage or our food for most of the year, and we have started on planting lots of trees and bushes for a food forest. there are several ruins on our terrain that we are working on, in which we want to create housing, communal spaces where we can hold workshops and a big kitchen where we can proces our harvest. With everyting we build we try to use as much natural building principles as possible.
A lot of materials we use come from our own land like the clay we use and wooden planks we make from the trees.

Everything we produce on the land is for use of the community. We are not a commercial project.

We live in the forest, in between the villages Fornoles and Valjunuera. They both have a bar and in summer a swimmingpool. Valjunquera has a small supermarket, but we usually go to alcaniz or Valderrobres for our groceries.
As our place is quite remote, it is preferable that you have your own means of transport, or at least a drivers license.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We are with 8 different people and have many hobbies. some of us like to go climbing every weekend, we have a cook who likes to make music and all of us love a good party. Also we try to have a movie night now and then.
We live in the Matarana, a region with beautifull nature, lots of hiking and climbing places and good swimspots (though they are a bit of a drive). especially in summer there are a lot of activities in the surrounding villages.
