Due to lack of government funding, virtually no affordable nursery schools exist for parents in the slums, Msekwa and Flora all are 20 years old girls, with the help of our families, we took it upon ourselves to open and run a free weekday nursery school in response to this need,
Currently six of every ten female youth in Dar’s slums will get pregnant before the age of 18. In addition to running the nursery school, I Msekwa and my partner Flora we aims to address this issue through hosting classes in sexual and reproductive health. we empowers young women through discussions of birth control, sexually transmitted diseases and more.
We are always looking to expand our programs. Please let us know if you have any ideas!
