Description
2 amazing 1940's original Cow and Horse barns on 3.3 acres in wonderful Woodinville, WA. We are nearly finished with the first stage of restoring these Sears & Roebuck 1940's barns it into a community hub for events, retreats, gatherings and a sustainable incubator and supply business. The restoration is completing phase I to be livable, and moving into phase II.
Phase I
We are building a live and work type of co-operative, seeking partnership on a wide range of projects. First was getting the Cow barn, which was changed to a bed and breakfast in the 1980's, to be liveable again. Now that we have a living space for workawayers and travelers we would like to work on the landscape, putting in gardens and gathering spaces on the 3.3 acres.
We host a wide range of live work opportunities and look forward to rich rewards, learning from other cultures while we cultivate the soil and create a feast for human kindness and relationships.
From daily landscape care, to events staff, start a small business using our land, start a small business in partnership, from farming to hosting events, or cooking for the travelers who we share this glorious location with!
One of the words that barns translates to is "choultry" which is resting spot for the traveler across many cultures. We hope to be a choultry as our era transitions to a connected on full of happy people on our happy planet.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are thrilled to be in the heart of rich agriculture and learning community. We hope to host many diverse events that are oriented to health, growth, community and increasing thoughtful lifestyle and work and joy balance. The owner is from an agricultural village in Jinan Shandong region, he is a global traveler who loves to provide the space for others to pursue a dream and thrive together. My origin is from Montana, grew up in semi rural area with horses and roaming freely, came west to pursue sustainable textiles and a better way for us to have regenerative packaging for consumers and food service packaging.

Inside the 1940's barn we have a special section dedicated to live working arrangements. With a private shower, toilet, there are 2/3 dorm style rooms with a small kitchenette and shared workawayer living space. A small kitchen, dedicated hot water heater and continuous boiler heat keeps you warm in the winter and new windows keep you cool in the summer.
What else ...
Downtown Woodinville located easy 1.5 miles with Molbak's nursery, movie theaters, restaurants, around the corner from Chateau St Michelle and surrounded by small farms, businesses and a lot of wineries. Our location is fairly secluded (adding trees too) and is a very wonderful spot, we hope to grow the connection with community, small maker and grower business to support local and real people. One of the words that barns translates to is "choultry" which is resting spot for the traveler across many cultures.
