Description
Ciao!
I’m Edoardo, 30 yo, and I’m the 5th generation of farmers of my family.
My family and I have a big house in the Nord East of Sicily, in a small town in the beautiful province of Messina!
The small town of Milici can be the perfect experience of a slow lifestyle, for sure not the same of big cities routine!
We speak English and Spanish not so bad, and a little bit of French.
We are 7km from the seaside, at the beginning of the the mountains, 300 meters above the sea level.
Perfect for the trekking lovers, you can easily go on lots of off road trips for beginners and not, and perfect for the seaside lovers, search for Golfo di Milazzo for more details, but I for sure can suggest you secret/not so famous spots to discover!
I’m also love to cook for people and I have learn how and all the recipes from my 2 grandma.
Here we have a lot of small projects for the modernization/restauration of the rural houses and typical old style walls for the outside (we call those "Macie" in Sicilian spoken language).Types of help and learning opportunities

I’m really interested in sharing ideas and knowledge in farming, gardening and organizing kind of stuff.
I’m also open to exchange food experience for all part of the world and I can teach all of the most famous recipes of Italian food.Help
My grandparents and the generations before used to live in each of those rural houses for small periods of time, always related at the specific period of the year and the specific works in countryside.
My project is really simple to understand, clean up all and pull out the things inside, a little bit of masonry work, a little of gardening near the rural house, fix a little the "Macia" walls (ancient type of walls, maked without the use of cement) near the house and then go to the next one.
I will always be present with Workawayers helping with the job but also with the language (in South Italy lots of over 50 don't speak english)
for sure we will have the opportunity to do also some activities with the vegetables productions, the Orto.
--- during cold sesons the work can be lillte different according to the weather condictions, you can for sure help us with the daily routine works in the fields! (lemon and oranges havests, fix and clean small rivers for water supply, cleaning field roads from trees, somethings like these!) ---
--- i can guarantee you that your hands will be dirty for sure! ---
I have a lot of skills to share in this kind of work, ad I had lot of experience for coordinating and leading groups of people, all learned by the older generation family's members.
they don't live with me but we will for sure spend a lot of time with them every day!
Zio Gaetano, my sensei of vegetables growing, and her dog Lisa, more or less every day! :)Languages

I will provide you the food for all the period of time you will stay (I produce my self mostly all the food I eat!), and all the transfet you will need in order with my job's duties.
i'm not avaible for changing dates of your journey at the last moment, I have to organize myself and all the daily things like personal commitments, work duties and logistics, so please understand my request. What else ...
We are connected to the Catania airport with a bus company that brings you (in Milazzo) 20 km from the house of my family, and then I will take you home with private car. By Train the closest train station is Barcellona Castroreale, 15km from my town.
There are so many things to visit here in a 50km area, from living in the nature to see museums and historical places.
You can easily go to Palermo (2h by train), Catania (1h and 45min by bus), Taormina (1h and half on train, even less by car), Capo d’Orlando, Cefalù (1h with trains) and so many more a little bit more far than those.
Aeolian Islands are in front of us, with a ferry you will can be there in less than 1 hour!
for more detais only ask, fro me will be a plesure help and explain everything I can!
The bad part of this story is the alarm clock in the morning, we follow the sun rise/ sunset rhythm, we wake up 30 min before the sunrise, being ready to go out when the sun lights appears!
You can easily check it with your phone!A little more information
