Description
We are a Family, Laila, Edwin and our 3 Children age 5,7,8.
Me Laila, free spirit, love to be in nature, sing, play guitar, dance. Edwin besides work likes to construct, work with wood, dance salsa and swimm.
Our children dont have to go to school. We are homeschoolers. We belive in free motivation based learning.
We love to welcome guests for spending community time, playing and do activities with your children, to have this rich and wonderfull experience of cultural exchange, of sharing and learning from each other. There is always a lot of work to do in and around the house we could use a hand with. We like to have comunity exoerience where life becomes more easy if there are more ppl around and everyone contributes.
We live 20 min by public transport from capital city bern. We live in a small house and have a small modest bungalow in our garden between the trees. It has on one side a corrugatet plastic roof so if its raining it can be loud. 1 or 2 person can sleep inside. We provide mosquito nets.

Help
We love you to be openhearted and easygoing with children, you should love to spend time with children, be playfull and have patience and to be interessted in exchange and community.
We like you to spend about 5-6 h per day with us, including having breakfast together, playing and activities with the children or helping with house or around the house and having lunch togheter. We like you to contribute to our daily routines as prepairing meals and do dishes, loundry, whiping the floor, whatering plants a.s.o. We have also several projects for construction in the house and garden we could need more hands and creative thinkers for, if you like to work with wood. On weekends and afternoons/evenings you are free to stay out. We like you to be flexible to babysitt on an evening and have interest in joining family trips and activities as swimming or cycling even tho it can take the whole day or can be at the weekend.

we are interessted in language exchange. i see language as a way to enter other cultures, as a way of connection between people.
Accommodation
You can sleep in our modest selfbuilt gardenhouse. It was built for our children to play but has enought space to be used as a bungalow. It has two beds inside and mosquito nets you will need to make use of in summer. The roof can be noisy if its raining but there is possibility to sleep in the livingroom aswell. Bathroom, kitchen and livingrom in our house are shared, shared meals, We have no food restrictions, go for fresh and healthy food.
What else ...
There are rivers and lakes nearby, 29 min from Bern, the mountains are only 1.5 h away. There are plenty of wunderfull trails to do, many beautiful tours with bycicles. You can use one of our bikes.
We live in a village, belonging to bern, behind our garden countryside starts wit beautiful forests, fields, the river Aare is about 20 min by bike away. Hikingtrails starts close to our house.
We like you to be happy here and enjoy your stay and for us always to find solutions that work for everyone. So activities, to do's will always be decided together :)
