Description
Hi, I'm Richard, looking for help getting my schooner ready to sail in beautiful Rio Dulce, Guatemala. It's not a luxury yacht, but a proven expedition vessel that I've sailed to Antarctica and the Arctic, among other places.

DIY and building projectsCreating/ Cooking family mealsGeneral MaintenanceHelp with Computers/ InternetCultural exchange and learning opportunities
You can learn about boats, knots&splices, sailing, rowing. The area is a beautiful place to explore by rowboat, and you are free to use mine.
There are opportunities to meet with other cruisers, and potentially sail away with them, or with me when I sail to Panama.Help
I'm looking for help with:
* cooking meals & food shopping
* general cleaning, mostly with water, soap, baking soda, vinegar
* minor carpentry
* painting
* drilling holes
* sewing (generally thick fabric that you use a sailmakers palm with--I have both right and left-handed palms)Languages spoken

You'll sleep on one of five beds. There are privacy curtains on each bed, but not separate cabins. The beds have fans for cooling, and space to store personal items.
What else ...
Things to see in the area include waterfalls, a historic fort and hiking trails.
There are many shops/bars/restaurants in easy walking distance.
There are public lanchas to get places by water, ie to Livingston.
There are tuktuks to take for nearby places (or you can walk), and collectivos (minivans) to take to go farther.
Please note there is no smoking on the boat.A little more information
