+++++++Summerjob at the mountain farm for longer period++++++
Would you like to help on a Norwegian summer farm this summer?
400 goats at need to be milked morning and evening, from late June to September. This farm is located in the heart of the Unesco site West Norwegian Fjord Landscape. A team of 3-4 young people takes care of the milking, working shifts, so that there is also time to hike in the mountains and practice other outdoor activities in beautiful scenery. Free housing in newly renovated farmhouse, free access to the world's best goat's milk for use in your kitchen - and an ordinary payment per month. Modern barn with milking machines in an effective milking stable.
Desired period 20 June to 1 September, possibly longer.
The farm, situated about 500 meters above sea level, is surrounded by fine rivers and waterfalls, lakes, large forest area and fantastic mountains, up to 1851 meters above sea level.
Summerfarm is situated about 45 minutes drive from Geiranger.

Farm with goat milk production, eco tourism, cheese making and
other food processing. The main farm is located near the fjord, and we are also summer farming in the mountains. Our farm is in a central part of the UNESCO cite West Norwegian Fjords. Here we welcome visitors to a historical tour of the farm, including making traditional brown goat cheese the very old way.
We are a couple, Åshild and Jostein, living on the farm, with many young people, students, trainees and other employes helping specially in the summer.Types of help and learning opportunities

Our farming is based on both traditional and more «modern» methodes. Every year we give practical training for international students, agricultural, ecological and others.Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

Our visitors are from many countries, and our workers need to speak at least english. Also good to know german and other languages.
We need help to animal care, feeding, milking etc, and also to process some of the milk
into cheese and goats milk caramel, fudge. Also helping with fruit and berries, picking and Processing. One must like to
be together with other people: workers, guests visiting our farm, and also help serving taste samples of our milk products and sell some of this to the guests on the farm. Mostly English spoken here on the farm, but also good to know
other languages, since it is very international during the summer season on our farms.Languages spoken
