Description
Hello from rural Alberta! We’re a semi-retired couple living on a cozy little acreage with a stunning view of the Canadian Rockies. Our property comes with a few furry friends (they’re friendly, promise!) and plenty of yard to keep us busy. This spring, we’re gearing up for a family wedding in June and could really use some help with outdoor painting and yard work.
When we’re not tending to the property, we love getting out to explore the breathtaking parks and mountains around us, and we’d love to take you along on some adventures! Our grown-up kids are nearby too, and they’re excited to meet new people and maybe share a few laughs along the way. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay with a dash of adventure and some good ol' hard work, we’d be thrilled to have you!

We’re a curious and chatty couple, always eager to hear about your travels, life, and the unique things that make your home country special. We love to swap stories and learn from each other, and we’re happy to share our practical know-how—whether it’s using tools, life skills, or just fun tidbits from our experiences. Plus, our adult kids are around and ready to connect with you, too! Whether it’s a deep conversation or just a laugh over coffee, we’re excited to learn from you and share a bit of ourselves in return.
Ila is a hobby potter and would be willing to have you try your hand at the potter's wheel.
Our son will be staying with us for the month of June 2025 and he is fluent in Spanish, Tagalog and is an intermediate German speaker.

We have a large home to share with you in which you will have your own bedroom and bathroom. (The bathroom may be shared at times depending on other guests.)
We eat a hardy dinner meal each evening and of course breakfast and lunch will be provided-you may have to fend for yourself, but there will be ample food to choose from.
What else ...
We live an hour north of Calgary, and an hour and a half from Banff and Canmore. We would be more than happy to show you around!
We should mention that although we live close to Calgary, we don't have access to public transit or buses.
