Description
Hello, we're Clive & Shena,
We live in the heart of the beautiful Coromandel bush. We moved here a few years ago - from bustling Hong Kong where we lived for 15 years - for a much more natural, and relaxed pace of life.
Our wild and sprawling riverside property hosts numerous swimming holes, and is home to countless native birds, being surrounded by mature native bush. We're situated near some of New Zealand's most beautiful beaches (Hot water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Hahei are all a short drive away) and bush walks (The Pinnacles track, as seen on The Lord of the Rings films) - 5 minutes walk to the Rapaura Watergardens, and 10 minutes walk from the majestic Square Kauri.
We enjoy music, art, cooking with produce from our vegetable/herb garden - where there's always something to be done!

Deep in the stunning Tapu Valley (Tapu meaning 'sacred' in Te Reo Maori), neighbouring national forest - you'll experience life off the grid in the heart of the stunning Coromandel bush.
Swim, or search for jasper, carnelian and other semi precious stones in the river that runs through our property. Listen out for kiwi, our wild garden is a haven for countless native birds. Stargaze (with no light pollution the stars here are magnificent).
Get truly back to nature.
Help
We're looking for help with gardening, landscaping and general outdoor projects - in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We have a wild/naturalistic approach to gardening, completely spray free.

Weekends are free for you to explore the Coromandel. We're situated near countless bush walks, and only minutes from the Pohutukawa Coast. Continue on our road to some of New Zealands most beautiful beaches, and river swimming - Hot water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Hahei + Mercury Bay Winery, Whitianga, Coromandel Town etc. are all close by.

We have wifi via Starlink - which is quite fast for rural internet. We don't have cell coverage, as we are situated in quite a remote valley, there is a landline in the main house that you're welcome to use if needed.
