Hello and welcome! My name is Ngendi Samuel, and I’m the founder a certified English language center based in Manta, Ecuador.
Our foundation is dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities including children, youth, people with disabilities, and the elderly through education, inclusion, therapy, and cultural exchange. We are transforming lives by offering English classes, inclusive sports activities, therapy programs, and community initiatives that promote dignity, sustainability, and hope.
Our language center, operates within the foundation, offering international certification programs (A1–C2) using Pearson methodology. We are also working to transform Manta into a bilingual city!
As a Workaway volunteer, you’ll be part of something truly meaningful. Whether you're helping us teach English, supporting inclusive activities, creating media content, offering therapy, or working on sustainability projects, your presence will leave a lasting impact.
We offer you accommodation, two meals per day, transportation, a certificate of participation, and an authentic cultural exchange in the beautiful coastal city of Manta.

We are more than an organization, we are a family committed to social transformation. I'm Uncle Sam the founder and heart behind this vision. I work with a passionate team through our certified language center, which operates inside the foundation.
Adrian is in charge of general logistics and activity coordination. Marilyn leads our marketing and events, Karrieann heads the English department, and George manages communication and outreach. We are also supported by seven dedicated team members who assist with education programs, therapy, recreational activities, administration, and direct community care.
And of course, our national and international volunteers are the heart of many of our activities. They share their time, energy, and compassion to bring hope to the most forgotten sectors. Here, you won’t just be helping you’ll become part of a big, loving family that believes in the power of love, education, and action. Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
At our place, cultural exchange is at the heart of everything we do. As part of our Foundation in Manta, Ecuador, Workawayers will have the opportunity to connect deeply with our local community through social activities, language immersion, and meaningful outreach programs. Volunteers become part of a vibrant team dedicated to inclusion, education, and service.
You’ll participate in English language workshops, art and music sessions with local youth, and inclusive events for people with disabilities. We also organize cultural days where you can learn traditional Ecuadorian cooking, dance, and indigenous crafts such as chocolate-making and weaving Panama hats. As part of your stay, you’ll also have the chance to take Spanish classes and practice with native speakers daily a true immersion experience!
In return, we’re excited to learn from your background, language, and ideas. By welcoming people from around the world, we hope to build bridges of understanding, spark global friendships, and grow together through shared purpose and connection.Projects involving children

Help
We are looking for compassionate and dynamic volunteers to join our mission of empowering underserved communities especially youth and individuals with disabilities through education, inclusion, and intercultural exchange.
Workawayers will primarily support our English language programs, cultural exchange workshops, and inclusive community events. Depending on your background and interests, you may:
Help teach English to children, youth, and adults through creative and interactive lessons.
Assist in our inclusive sports sessions or therapy-based activities for people with disabilities.
Support our outreach campaigns, media creation (videos, photos, social media), or fundraising efforts.
Join our "HOPE in Action" initiative, which includes educational workshops, podcast and video creation, and fieldwork in the community.
You won’t be alone we work together as a team! Volunteers are integrated into a warm, purpose-driven environment. You’ll collaborate with our core team (including staff from our language center), and often learn or share skills like teaching techniques, Spanish, intercultural communication, storytelling, and project planning.

We offer dynamic English and French classes to children, youth, and adults in underserved communities, and we welcome volunteers from around the world to be part of this inspiring journey. Our language exchange isn’t limited to classrooms—it happens over shared meals, beach walks, cultural events, and workshops. As a volunteer, you’ll help teach English or French while immersing yourself in Spanish through real conversations with locals, engaging activities, and mentorship from our bilingual team. We also integrate creative methods like sports, music, and storytelling into language learning, making it fun and meaningful for everyone involved. Whether you're a teacher, a student, or simply passionate about languages and cultures, you’ll leave with lifelong friendships and a deeper understanding of what it means to connect across borders.Accommodation
We provide a clean, secure, and welcoming shared house located near the heart of Manta. Volunteers will stay in comfortable rooms with shared bathrooms, fans, and Wi-Fi access. Bedding is provided. Our accommodation is safe and peaceful, ideal for resting after meaningful workdays.
We also offer two nutritious meals daily (breakfast and lunch), and there’s a kitchen available for anyone who wishes to cook in the evening. We enjoy eating together as a community and encourage cultural exchange through shared meals.
