Description
We are a group of families living in Tufillo and its surroundings, in the enchanting Trigno Valley between Abruzzo and Molise. We are starting a Nature education project: a small Forest school/nursery for our children. We believe in the infinite educational and learning possibilities that only direct, daily contact with nature can provide, and for this reason we are setting up a cozy corner for them among the trees and the celestial ceiling where they can explore, play and dream. We are looking for someone who has experience with children - as well as a strong interest in outdoor education - who would like to help us look after our children, offering support to the daily teaching activity of the kindergarten of teachers.
Our main "base camp" will be in Tufillo a center for agricultural and architectural experimentation, which today has 3 independent houses and 3 hectares cultivated with cereals, legumes and vegetables, with an orchard, medicinal plants, grazing hens in rotation with the crops, and a flock of about 30 goats. The educational activities will follow the farm's activities throughout the year, to draw inspiration from them, with moments of excursions in the surrounding area, between the woods and the river. The children will participate in the work in the fields, they will follow the goats in the pasture, they will have the opportunity to experiment green building techniques with materials found on the ground itself, such as stones, clay and wood, contributing to the creation of their own school life spaces. The didactic activities will mainly take place in the open air, but on days of bad weather and the most intense cold we will take refuge into a house in the village. The volunteers, following the didactic activity, will also be able to acquire experience in the field of permaculture, breeding, green building and art in general.
ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation in the village of Tufillo, with a single room, in an apartment with other volunteers.
HOW TO GET THERE: by train to the Vasto/San Salvo train station where we can pick you up by car, or by bus from Rome Fiumicino or Rome Tiburtina, with Molise ATM company, stopping at “IL GIRASOLE” service station along higway 650 " Trignina”, a few kilometers from Tufillo.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
An agricultural and repopulation project started in Tufillo in Abruzzo by Nicolas and Federica in 2011, produces fruit, vegetables, cereals, legumes, eggs and olive oil on 3 hectares of land.
Art is present in almost all the activities of the farm, in the construction of terracotta houses and huts and also in agricultural work, shaping the landscape through the gradual terracing of all the available surface.
Over the years, the place has hosted around 100 people from all over the world for varying periods, many as volunteers, others as participants in workshops or at cultural events.
The cultural exchange experience is always very positive for those who host and for those who are hosted. You can learn a lot while sharing daily life and during manual work, both with children and adults.
Among us parents we are experts in art, contemporary dance, creative writing and comics.
We will also be very happy to share our knowledge and curiosities with those who come.
