    Description

In the Alto Uruguay region, and specifically in the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve, this is the first project planned and executed by a woman entrepreneur, Elizabeth , which implies an innovation in a patriarchal territory.
The main characteristic of the project is the combination of theory and practice in the field of economic planning, resulting in an experimental model of sustainable practices. Among the main projects carried out, the following can be mentioned:

    - Bioarquitectura Project: the IR studio realised a model of an innovative ecohostel format, including the pilot construction of a 200 m2 green roof on a wooden structure. This was carried out with the advice of Prof. Gernot Minke from Germany, on the occasion of the Green Roof experiential workshop held in the Commune (May 2012) in its inaugural phase.

    - Community Native Plant Nursery Project: initially supported by UNDP in 2014/16. The plants are raised from seed or by collecting seedlings in the bush, a task entirely carried out by women. This pilot experience is being expanded as a network through joint work with rural schools in the region.

    - Non-formal Community Education Centre Project: within the framework of the UNDP project, the construction of a 120 m2 maloca (community house) was completed, where different activities related to environmental education are carried out through practices, workshops, exchange of knowledge and meetings on different disciplines: agroecology, economy, habitat and environment, rural entrepreneurship and empowerment of rural women.

    - Project for the installation of a prototype micro-hydro turbine for electricity production in the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve: this project received financial support from the Ministry of Science and the local community. A demand for electricity was identified in Paraje Mbiguá, Colonia Pepirí, where the public grid does not reach. In order to provide electricity to the Aula Satélite Escuela de Frontera 618 and the local community, the technical team from the Faculty of Engineering Oberá (UNaM), from the Department of Engineering and Technological Research (UNLaM) together with Grupo Energías Renovables Misiones, identified an optimal site to implement the microturbine in the Trigeño stream, a few meters from the coastal Route 2. Unfortunately, from 2019 to the present, the stream was left without water and the experience was interrupted.

    - Narrative project: my professional training as an economist oriented towards project formulation and entrepreneurship was nurtured by the experiential exercise described in the book "Ma, qué es una economista? Narraciones sobre economía, proyectos y emprendimientos" (Ed. Keremos Kultura, 2017). And, subsequently, the book "Ficciones de la Economía" which recounts the experience of self-management in Eden (Germany) and questions different themes of the economy in order to demystify and criticise inherited concepts (Ed. Keremos Kultura, 2021).
    -
    - Ecohostel Educational Trips Project: the space proposes to connect visitors with the land, the jungle, its rivers and streams in an environment designed for coexistence and learning. It only works with groups of up to 60 people and has all the necessary comforts for the stay.
