    Description

Hi, my name is Marina and I come from Croatia. My partner Luka and I have recently decided to trade the urban lifestyle of Zagreb for a cozy life in the olive grove. He's an architect and I'm a designer. We own a small company that produces various souvenirs and gift items, situated in Zagreb.
Since we met, the island of Vis was always our happy place and there was no doubt about where we strive to end up.
A little sooner than expected, here we are.
We bought the 100-olive-trees-property in the late winter of 2021. Come spring of 2022. we towed our tiny caravan onto the spot and unrolled the beginning of our Mediterranean fantasy.
So far, we have cleared most of the area previously occupied by (quite hostile :)) shrubbery, pruned most of the olives, made an access dirt road through the grove.... and set up an above-ground 3,5 wide pool for the ultimate after-work refreshment :) You know, the basics! :)

This project is all about helping us achieve a sustainable living system, experimenting with an outdoor space, being as off-grid as possible, and enjoying undisturbed nature near the sea.

Carpenters, stone masons and gardeners wanted!
If you're a handywomen or a handymen, in good physical shape, come join us! There is always some dry stonewall mending and building around, a little bit of woodwork, and a lot of gardening and garden planning.
    Permies are very welcome! :)
We do a lot of different small DIY projects, so here's a shoutout to all of you with a million different hobbies.
In months to come, we would love to develop a proper water recycling system, build another 50m2 of dry stonewalls, build a wooden deck around the camper and the pool, finish clearing up the shrubbery and remove the dry branches of the pine trees.
There's always a chance we might come up with another great idea in the meantime :)
