    Description

We are a couple living on Harbourside in Whangamata - a popular seaside town in the Coromandel. Surf and fishing and a lot of international visitors passing through . I’m an artist weaving the native plant harakeke full time . Baz my husband is a retired HR exec and plays golf every day !!
We have an elderly golden retriever we walk each day on the beach . We have hosted more than a dozen exchange students over the years so experienced with understanding what it’s like to be away from home! We have also house swapped in NZ , UK , Canada and Sweden. We have 3 children who live away from home but do visit on occasion . We really enjoy meeting people from around the world

    What else ...

There is a beautiful beach 15 min walk from our home . We have kayaks to use in the harbour which our house overlooks. Everywhere is walkable from our house . You will find other travellers very quickly . Our neighbour is quiet . We are happy to collect you from the nearest bus stop . If you are a travelling pair , there is another bedroom available . As our old dog lives inside the house but not in bedrooms it’s important to be ok and not allergic to dog hair.
