    Description

My husband Paul and I have a 15 acre hobby farm. We have direct access to the beautiful Huon River. We are working towards having a self sufficient life. We are also renovating our large house.
We have two large veggie patches , a poly tunnel, a few chickens, turkeys, four sheep and our lovely dog ‘Janet’.
We’re both young 60 yr olds.
Paul is retired and I work part time.
We’re about 15 min drive from the local township of Huonville. We are in a rural setting. Things to do include bush walking, kayaking, fresh water fishing.
There are loads of different jobs that we need help with, from gardening, planting, digging, weed management, whipper snipping, to painting inside and outside the house, help with building projects and the list goes on!
We have two large spare bedrooms with your own bathroom.
Preferably one person or a couple for up to 2 weeks at a time (possibly longer if we like each other)
    Non smokers only please.
No particular skills are required, except being fit and strong, show initiative, a good work ethic, and a healthy CAN DO attitude.
We are easy going, fun, kind and friendly.
Full board and food (meals usually eaten together) provided in return for 4 - 5 hours of work per day for 5 days of the week.

We love to share the wonderful life we have in this beautiful part of the world and striving to live a full and happy self sufficient lifestyle. Paul is very handy and has a great workshop. He enjoys helping and mentoring anyone who is interested in learning how to use tools etc. I love to share my love of cooking, preserving, bread making and fermenting foods.

We love to cook, but would enjoy someone else cooking for a change and enjoy new dishes and learn new recipes.
