    Description

Living the simple life with nature in the wild part of Tahiti iti, French Polynesia

    Ia ora na
My name is pefhani alias Pef, after eleven years circumnavigating the world on our catamaran we have now decided to explore our capacity to survive on land.

While my husband continues working on sea, my kids and I are living in a house in the middle of the wilderness in the famous spot of Fenua Aihere.

We live by the sea 5miles away from the little village of Tautira and to get there we need to sail across de lagoon ( no road access).

We do homeschooling (our kids 13 and 15 years old have never been to school) therefore we are looking for English or Spanish speaking helpers.

We plan to set up a self sustain home and we need help to improve our garden, built a chicken house resistant to dogs attacks, improve our house, built a cabin that will become the volunteers house, a sort of family micro farm striving for autonomy.

Our house doesn't really have rooms, it's all open space, but we offer a bed and meals. Shower is cold 😅 (water from the river) and there is no internet access, against 4 hours approx of work per day, 4-5 days a week.

The work is rather physical 💪🏽 construction of a chicken house, finishing the bathroom floor, preparation of new crop areas, maintenance of the garden, clearing the edge of the river, sowing, planting... We are inspired by permaculture but still learning to adapt to tropical rainy conditions.

If you have building talents or permaculture experience, if you don'5 fear mosquitoes and being away from civilization ( although we aren't furious wild people) and if you are interested in experiencing to live in the wilderness for 1 month or so, do not hesitate to write to me and ask me questions. We'd be happy to share our "life on land" experience!

    Pef.
