We believe that hosting Workawayers is a fantastic opportunity for both sides to learn from each other and share experiences.

We have a strong connection to our local community in Kelowna. This includes opportunities to explore the vibrant local culture, including its farmers' markets, events, and outdoor festivals. If you enjoy thrift shopping, we’re in the heart of Kelowna’s thrift circle, which could be a fun experience for you! Additionally, you’ll get to meet our neighbors and engage with a variety of people in the area, which provides a great chance to experience the small-town feel of Kelowna, with its welcoming atmosphere.

We hope to learn about different traditions, recipes, and perspectives, as we truly believe that connecting with people from diverse backgrounds helps broaden our own understanding of the world.

We look forward to creating a warm, inclusive environment where both our family and you can share and learn new things, building lasting connections along the way.

    Tasks and Responsibilities:

During your stay with us, we’ll appreciate your help with a few tasks that will allow us to continue enjoying our family time and outdoor adventures.

Here’s an overview of what you can expect:

Occasional Childcare: We may ask for your assistance in looking after our 6-year-old daughter from time to time. This could include playing with her, supervising her while she engages in activities, or helping with simple tasks like getting ready for bed. She’s a very independent, well mannered child, and your presence will be greatly appreciated.

Spending Time with Our Dog: We have a cuddly Siberian Husky who loves attention. You may be asked to spend some time with her, whether it’s taking her for a walk, playing in our yard, or just giving her some love and companionship. Shes friendly and easygoing, and will quickly become your best buddy!

Basic House tasks: We ask that you help with general household tasks, such as tidying up the living areas, washing dishes, sweeping, or folding laundry.
These tasks are important in keeping the house running smoothly and will be appreciated as part of your contribution to our home.

We believe in a shared sense of responsibility, and these tasks will be light and flexible, allowing you to still enjoy your time exploring the area and relaxing with us.
