    Hello and welcome!

We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for you in Santo Domingo Ocotitlán, Tepoztlán, Morelos. Situated in the heart of the mountains near Tepoztlán, a sacred place enveloped by breathtaking nature, our location attracts individuals from across the globe who seek to engage in meditation, yoga, spirituality, and personal growth. We provide accommodation in a small structure built with earth and organic materials, offering you the chance to contribute to our efforts in reactivating and renovating the space. This promises to be an enriching ecological experience, providing a retreat for those seeking connection with nature in a tranquil, serene setting.

In Ocotitlán, we aim to offer a diverse and captivating experience. While daily tasks will vary, our primary objective is to revitalize and refurbish the house, originally designed for artistic purposes with dedicated areas for bodywork. The project's vision is to eventually establish a venue where we can conduct workshops, retreats, festivals, meditations, and courses exploring dance as a means of connecting body, mind, and spirit. We aspire for this space to evolve into a global hub where individuals can come together to connect, learn, and heal.

We extend our invitation to the creative, the curious, the open-minded, the adventurous, and all others alike to join our project. We look forward to learning from your contributions and sharing our own offerings. Given that this is a new endeavor, we welcome your ideas and input as we embark on this journey together.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We offer you the experience of being part of a creative and cultural project that will deeply impact your life. You will learn about the process of permaculture, bioconstruction, gardening, and alternative cultures and healing practices.

The magical town (Pueblos Mágicos) of Tepoztlán nearby has experienced significant growth in alternative ways of life due to the sacred nature of the land it occupies.

We will encourage personal, emotional, and spiritual growth in people through engaging conversations and the art of sharing. If you are experienced with alternative medicine and healing practices, you will also have the opportunity to hold workshops for the community.

    Accommodation

We have 3 rooms available in the building that volunteers can live in. You will either get a private room or a shared room depending on how many volunteers we have at the time. If you are a couple, we will provide a private room for you.

We have a community kitchen, bathroom with showers and hot water available, electricity and solar heaters, a Wi-Fi area, a garden, a space for a bonfire, recreational spaces for you to practice meditation, yoga, etc., and a wonderful view of the mountains of Ocotitlán for you to enjoy and explore in your free time.

Please note that we ask you to work 15 hours per week (3 hours a day, 5 days a week) in exchange for accommodation and the use of all the amenities in the house but we will not be providing food.

The town of Ocotitlán is very rural and quiet and you will love walking along its paths where you will find shops, grocery stores, and other stationary stores. You can also take a short 10-minute walk to the highway where you can take a bus for $12 MXN pesos which takes you directly to the town of Tepoztlán (a 20-minute ride one-way and you can take the same bus to return).

    What else ...

This space will be ideal for you to focus on things like writing activities, self-knowledge, self-discovery, and exploring nature. We want people who volunteer in this space to be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and live in a relaxing environment while connecting with nature.

It is preferable that you have a conscious diet, since here we will work to develop environmental awareness and physical/emotional spiritual health. However, we will not reject your request to volunteer with us simply due to your dietary choices.
