    Description

We are Santiago J. and Tadeo, my son. We have Ali, the puppy and Sushi, the cat. Polly (my ex partner) and I bought an old house and large garden in the village of Oteruelos, Soria, Spain, which we had renovated four years ago. We moved in June 2017. We need help in the garden, and setting up permacultural systems, chicken shed, an array of vegetable growing areas, maximising water conservation, etc. We also need help in the house with household tasks and cooking or even taking care of Ali and Sushi.

It is in a beautiful rural setting, 14 k from the small city of Soria. There is a river nearby, and also a large picturesque reservoir, both of which are good to swim in. The region is sparsely populated, and has many semi-abandoned villages. It is rich in medieval, Roman and prehistoric historical sites. There are many excellent biking and walking routes in the area, and lots of hidden beauty spots. There is an equestrian riding school in a farm in the woods and a golf club within a 10 minute walk.

I like rural life in general, but also like films, music, reading, cooking (vegan food, Indian food,...) travel, cycling, walking, mushroom picking, gardening (I am a beginner gardener and I'd love to have a sustainable lifestyle) And I am into shiatsu, yoga and meditation. Tadeo (14) is a self-sufficient adolescent who likes comics, scale model design, board games, video games, taekwondo, cycling, animals, maps and jumping on our large stress-busting TRAMPOLINE.

A double room (with its own bathroom) or a double or single roon (with a bathroom next to it) upstairs in the house or a large tent in the garden (in the summer), as you wish.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There is hardly any public transport from the village ( a bus to Soria on Mondays and Thursdays and the rest of days if you request it ) but we and our few neighbours have to go regularly to Soria, so you can get to shops and services easily. You can cycle to Soria in an hour, or cycle to the reservoir in 40 minutes. If you bring your car you can leave it in the large garage opposite the house. In the summer there are some festivals in the villages nearby. There is also an impressive golf club within ten minute walk with a restaurant and a bar.
