IT WAS THE BEST PLACE FOR MY HOLIDAYS AND IT WAS MY BEST HOLIDAYS (this is the most important to know !)
I really appreciated my time in the farm of Sanni and Timo ! It was a very good experience (first workaway experience) for me !
I learnt a lot about working in a farm, Finnish culture and other subjects. Timo and Sanni are very good speaker
… read more (mainly Timo :joy:) with a big general knowledge and interest in other cultures. They are a very lovely couple with two cute kids.
I was sleeping in a very cozy (and spacious) bedroom upstairs. My bedroom was the only room of this stair so it was quiet. Sometimes some visitors came in my bedroom (the dogs and cats ... :heart_eyes:they are so cute !). The others rooms are very good too. So to resume, the house is very lovely! However, if you don’t like being woken by the sun earlier in the morning, take an eyes mask because the curtains are very tiny.
I was working 5 days per week. I was working almost at the hours that I wanted. But usually my day began at 8:30 am. So it was not too earlier !
Some things that I did :
- Help with the horse (feed them, clean the stables, …)
- Help with the cow (clean the “cow bed” and the trough, feed the calf, …) and run after them when they run away :joy::sweat_smile:
- Paint some building
- Help to clean a little bit the house
- Ride the horses
Sanni and Timo took a lot of time to show me some places ! I met some friends of them. I think that almost everybody try to speak with me in English so people were very lovely. So I had the opportunity to exchange with Finnish people about different subjects.
I discovered a lot of things ! They shared with me their family time and hobby (I discovered the mushroom picking and dog race).
If you are an ANIMALS LOVERS, you would envoyed your time at their place… Dogs, cats, cows, horses and chickens … THE PARADISE !
I am really happy to came to their place because I met adorable people but especially new friends (a lot of tears when I left them :disappointed_relieved:)!
