Description
The project started in 2013. Certified in organic farming since 2015. We are seven inhabitants on the site and four cats. We are located on the green hills of Tourtouse, between Saint Girons and Cazères, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees. There is a common main house, an agricultural shed transformed into a wood workshop, a barn and outbuildings to renovate, 10 hectares of woods and meadows, a vegetable garden, and an orchard of 190 apple trees of old varieties. To sleep there is a 60m2 dormitory in the renovated attic, and a single bedroom with a double bed, which is available if there are no guests. We have created an association in order to preserve old varieties, the use of wild plants, the sharing of knowledge, ecology, the pooling of tools and cultural activities. We are renovating our barn to have a common room for everyone.
Le projet a démarré en 2013. Certifié en agriculture biologique depuis 2015. Nous sommes sept habitants sur le lieu et quatre chats. Nous sommes situé.es sur les collines verdoyantes de Tourtouse, entre Saint Girons et Cazères, au coeur du Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises. Il y a une maison principale commune, un hangar agricole transformé en atelier bois, une grange et dépendances à rénover, 10 hectares de bois et de prairies, un potager, et verger de 190 pommiers de variétés anciennes. Pour dormir il y a un dortoir de 60m2 dans le grenier rénové, et une chambre individuelle avec un lit deux places, qui est à disposition si on n'a pas d'invité.e.
Nous avons créé une association afin de préserver les variétés anciennes, l'utilisation de plantes sauvages, le partage des savoirs, l'écologie, la mutualisation des outils et les activités culturelles.
Nous rénovons notre grange pour avoir une salle commune pour toutes et tous.

Renovation of a traditional French stone barn. From 8th of January to the 30th of March 2024, We welcome 2 or more workawayers for a wood and stone training experience, for the renovation of a barn : woodworking, ecological construction and practical tasks.
Chantier ECOLE charpente et couverture. Nous accueillons 2 personnes pour ce chantier de rénovation d'une grange traditionnelle ariégeoise en pierre : travail du bois, construction écologique et travaux pratiques.

Accommodation
1 bedroom and large dormitory all in wood. We provide all meals with fresh, vegetarian and organic products. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with the possibility of having snacks and drinks at any time.
