    Description

We are a small, family-owned hostel in the town of Santa Catalina.

There are 9 air-conditioned rooms which we rent out to the tourists that come here mainly for one of two reasons, to dive and snorkel or to surf. There is a kitchen and a small balcony for the client´s use and wifi throughout the building.

We are located right in the center of town, next to the small grocery store (also owned by us), most of the dive and snorkel tour operators and one of the beaches. Playa Estero, the place for surfing, is a 20 minute walk from the center of town.

While it can get pretty busy during the carnival and other public holidays, Santa Catalina is fairly quiet and the perfect spot to enjoy a simple life, surrounded by lush jungle and an hour´s boat ride away from Panama´s best diving spot.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

As already mentioned, Santa Catalina is a small town. There are two roads that both end at a beach and other than private houses, hotels, restaurants and dive/snorkel operators there is little else.

Most people spend their free time on the beach, surfing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, diving, doing yoga or walking in the surrounding hills.

A good relationship with the locals, a friendly attitude towards tourists, a love for nature and simplicity are essential when coming to spend time here.
