Description
Hi, my name is Ilija, and I’m the third generation running a small family-owned apartments in Ohrid. My father built the them on our family land, continuing a long tradition of hospitality in this beautiful lakeside town.
The hosts, Nikola and Danka, are my parents, and they have been welcoming guests with warmth and kindness for many years. However, as they are now older—my father is currently caring for my mother, who has fragile health—we are looking for some extra hands to help keep our apartments running smoothly during the summer.
In addition to hosting summer vacation guests, we are also deeply involved in youth and cultural exchange projects. This year, we are offering our space for two youth exchanges with participants from the Netherlands, Germany, Macedonia and the Czech Republic, as well as a choir exchange. If you're interested, you’ll have the unique opportunity to not only help out but also engage in these inspiring international projects.
Ohrid is a magical place, with its crystal-clear lake, rich history, and warm community. We hope to find someone who loves meeting new people, enjoys hospitality, and wants to experience the best of Macedonia while working in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
We look forward to welcoming you to our little piece of paradise!Types of help and learning opportunities

In addition, you’ll have access to several masterclasses completely free of charge.
To make your stay even more memorable, if interested we would arrange:

Help
Running the apartments involves light maintenance and guest support to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone. Since we are hosting two groups for longer periods, the work will mainly include:
- Changing towels and sheets for guests during their stay.
- Light maintenance – making sure everything in the apartments is in order.
- Washing & ironing – keeping linens fresh and clean.
- Assisting with guest transitions – during the period between the two groups, there may be some check-ins and check-outs to manage.
Since we have only six apartments, the workload is very manageable. We expect 5 hours of work per day, 5 days a week, leaving you with plenty of free time to explore Ohrid and enjoy the summer!
We offer free accommodation plus a monetary payment of at least the minimum wage of our country. This will be for every hour worked and for all Workawayers invited to our place.Languages
